we are not mentealy retarded in sin. For God said HE can do all things, your job is to ask.
he will not force his ways on you, but is angry that you do not follow in his ways. If you followed in his ways you would be perfect. If the Lord make's me perfect, I will change the way the church looks at things. For no longer will man have to be a slave to sin, if a man can defeat sin. Not just hide(safe by the way) in the cross. I am not talking about getting to heaven, just to be like Jesus. For he came to show us how to walk, not Just be a sacrafice. If Jesus can walk perfect, so can we. If Jesus had power, so can we. We can all be Jesus if we have the faith, and only the potter can make Jesus.

Actualy, I agree with you.
Jesus said that He wanted us to be perfect, just like Father who is perfect.
Jesus set the example of how we must live in perfection.
Most of ppl don't believe they could become perfect because they were taught that way. Some ppl even believe that wanting to be perfect is a sin, while the other way is the truth. God wants us to be perfect, just like His son Jesus.
The devil fears this, so he blows a false teaching masquerading as the truth, saying that it is a sin to want to be perfect.
To me, it is a sin not to live your live to the highest potential.
Well, that's just my honest opinion.

I have no problem with leaving perfect to Jesus. No one could match Him. We are born perfect but our sin nature soon removes that.
We are perfected by our confession of sin and being forgiven. How long does that last. If you like Paul can walk continuously in the spirit, Like him you would only see your own short fall.
I strive to be Christ like and fail.
a noble thought though.

Jesus Christ was the only perfect person. The best I can do is strive to be like Him. Since we were all born into sin, we come into this life already with one strike.

We are not perfect yet, but God sees us as being perfect now because He sees us with the eyes of the future. We will be made perfect when we will get our glorified bodies, but until then, we have to live in a fallen world.

saying you are perfect is indeed a sin because it shows you are proud and pride is a sin...everybody makes mistakes...God gave us choices and free will, unfortunately we don't always make the right choice...even the saints made mistakes one time or another.....only God is perfect...we can pray to God to help us to become "perfect" but it is still up to us to do the right thing...unfortunately we dont always do...
so do you mean you don't get angry, you dont discriminate, you accept people as they are, you are kind, you are not overpowering, you are not shallow, you are not impatient, you are not irresponsible, you dont lie, you dont cheat, you dont take advantage of others, you are considerate, you don't let people down, etc..etc..etc?
wow! cool...then you are the only one of your kind then...
