King worship is something that prevailed in India since ancient times. Rama was the solution to their prayers to escape from the undefeatable Ravana. They must have belived that none other than the "Lord Vishnu's Avatar" would be able to defeat Ravana... that means i go for "c"

The option "d" sounds too stupid.. how could u worship someone who abondoned 'sita-the Shakti' just because she was kidnapped (..i did say because her husband could not protect her enough)

In my opinion, Lord Rama was all of the above. But none of these are the reason that he is treated as God. To me, He IS God. He is Lord Vishnu in human form. The reason that He was able to do all of the above is because He is Lord Vishnu.

well first he is incarnation of Lord Vishnu and then all of the above..

have u forgotten that the Lord Vishnu's gaurds Madhu,Kaitabh were cursed to be born as demons ,three times. It was their wish that they be killed in the hands of Lord Vishnu HImself..so Lord Vishnu reincarnated as NaraSimha,Varaha,Rama and Krishna..
The demons were Hirnyaksha,Hirnyaka shipa,Ravana,Khumbha Karna,Shishu pala and one more..

if u think this is all just epic,it will raise several other questions which will ultimately question the purpose of our lexistence..
