So you feel no obligation to develop a sense of decency while in a public forum? You expect others to leave so you can enjoy surroundings denied to them? You just made an argument in favor of those who do what you claim is wrong.

I haven't yet reported anyone however I would suggest that you agreed to follow certain guidlines when you signed up. So either you weren't being honest when you signed up or yu failed to understand those guidlines or you no longer believe them. In some sense I agree that reporting a tool of revenge or intolerance towards anyone who disagrees with a viewpoint. However I have seen some posts that are simply crude, predjudiced and promote hatred towards an identifiable group. To those who say if you don't like what you see simply turn the channel I argue whay should I? I paid to be able to use my computer my internet and the priveledges which that affords. Why should i be denied what I paid for?

OMG I am offended by that question! ROFL
You have the right to say anything you feel as long as you say it respectfully.
People hit that flag button a little too much. I agree with you, if you are touchy about disagreement then go to a group where everyone believes the same way you do. That would be boring to me but hey, to each his own.
I do believe some of the people come here just to cause trouble. Jews report Muslims. Muslims report Jews. Christians report atheists. Atheists report Christians. It never ends.
My advice to anyone who feels the need to hit the flag button is to just ignore the question (unless of course it is way off the mark and something the average person of any faith, race, culture etc would find offensive)
By the way, you have been reported :(
Kidding LOL

Maybe others should ask you the same question. If you don't like what's going on here, go to another site. It's still a free country, right? Freedom of expression, but the doesn't mean that the way the expressions are written should degrade, violate, and anger others. Maybe your expressions could be worded in a less threatening, less objective manner. You can get the same point accost but in a toned down manner.

Why are you so worried about being reported? It's not like your going to get paid for your answers or win some kind of award here. If you don't like it, then stop asking questions here because the actions of those that do this will not change just because you asked this question.

Unfortunately when things are said contrary to someone's belief or comment, they may take it very personal. Any comment can be taken out of context, especially with our inability to evaluate each other’s body language, facial expression, gestures or tone of voice. Depending on one's strength of character or things which may be affecting them at the time, they can become enraged & seek out revenge.
Yahoo answers report that they take these issues in consideration & view not only the one reported by also the one reporting.

I agree with you totally honey! I have seen people reported for the dumbest s**t just because "someone" did not like their question, Not because they violated anything. I know some people are asking why you came under this category to ask this question....well why, if you are really into religion and spirituality go onto lets say "singles and dating" and report people because you don't like the question they asked because it offended you? I don't think anyone would like it if someone did not believe in god and came under the religion category and reported people for talking about god because it "offended" them.......

You have freedom of speech but with that comes responsibility. Is your 'stuff' offensive? There is always a right way and a wrong way to express yourself. My Mom always told me I would attract more bees with honey than with vinegar.

Hope this helps.

people are childish. give them a button to press that will have a negative effect on something. and they will press it any time that they see something that they do not like.

i had a lev 5 account deleted for answering the question

"what religion are you?"

with

\"i am a Celtic Pagan".

but Yahoo is trying to make things better. (they are not doing the best job, but they are trying)
