I think he would be glad that music in every genre offers praise to Him.
I don't know if he'd say, "Yeah, this really rocks," but he might! He was known to enjoy a good party, especially weddings.

Jesus would appreciate any music that uses the time, talent and skill of the musician to honor His Father. David a man "after God's own heart" played wild music when entering Jerusalem indicating the type of music is not important to the Lord just the reasons behind it.
Jesus would NEVER Ever tell any one with a sincere heart for Him that their music was not good. Jesus' ears hear only the love and praise not the tune or melody

I think if Jesus showed up today, he'd listen to electronic techno style music. He'd be puzzled there was a genre called "Christian Rock;" someone would have to explain to him what it was. He'd go searching for the nearest temple to figure out where things stood on his teachings.

Why not? He is was very open and appreciative of the things in life. He may even have a little pot to go with it and some Waling whiskey (It is a Chinese brand). Have a chat with his older contemporary Prince Gautama Siddhartha (The Buddha) after having a debate with Lord Vishnu and Mo hammed. He might even like to hear a little disco, acid rock and some Lhynrd Skynrd with his boyfriend who seems to be John the apostle! (I am not joking)

He wouldn't need an I pod He could just have the angels sing.
I think He would possibly like the rock beat but not pay attention to the Lyrics so much.
I can see him bopping down the road yes.
But Dad always said rock was the beat of the heathen drum.

Personally, I think He would dislike it. Because so many of the authors of these so-called Christian songs aren't true Christian, they just sing them because they can make money. And many people just listen to them for their beat, not their meaning.
But I'm not Jesus (aren't you lucky), so I have no idea.
Don't get me wrong though I listen to Christian music quite often, but it's not from people that sing it for a living, just from singers that sing Christian songs because they are firm Christians and they believe what they sing.

He might... But seeing as how he was always preaching about "peace & love" and had long hair and such- I think Jesus would've been MORE of a Beatle's fan... I bet he would've really liked Paul's "silly love songs"... And I can just IMAGINE Jesus addressing a crowd today & calling out, "He loves You..." & the people responding, "Yeah- yeah- yeah!" :)

I think He would really like an older Don McClean song: "American Pie."
"And the 3 men I admire the most: The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost..They caught the last train for the coast...the day the music died."

Jesus listens to all of the music, even the stuff that is more noise than music, and making notes about that which glorifies God and that which does not.
