From the Bible:

Numbers (13:17)

After a battle with the Midianites, the Israelites were told: "Kill every male dependant, and kill every woman who has had intercourse with a man, but spare for yourselves every woman among them who has not had intercourse."

Nice. Really nice. War and rape of virgins. Classy.

Then in Num. 31:32-35 it goes on to list the spoils of battle (in this order btw) as sheep, cattle asses and "thirty two thousand girls who had no intercouse with a man."

Bet a lot of you Christian women wouldn't have wanted to be Christians back in the day......you'd either be murdered (if you weren't a virgin, or raped. Nice choices there.

This sounds like it was written by a man/men who wanted to rape and murder women with no consequences. How can you be sure the whole Bible wasn't written by men like that?

it is mentioned in the 1st Kings,
Ch. No 7, Verse No 26, that…‘In Solomon’s temple, in his molten sea, he had 2000 baths. In 2nd Chronicles, Ch. No 4, Verse No 5, he had 3000 baths. Did he have 2000 baths or did he have 3000 baths? which is correct? There is a clear-cut mathematical contradiction. Further more it is mentioned in the First Kings, Ch. No. 15, Verse No. 33, that… ‘Basha, he died in the 26th
year of reign of Asa.’ And 2nd Chronicles Ch. No 16, Verse No 1, says that…‘Basha
invaded Judah in the 36th years of the reign of Asa.’ How can Basha invade 10 years
after his death? - It is unscientific.

............?
Man supposedly evolved from Monkeys {Primates} They are our closest relation in the animal world, and it has been proven that Man can control an animals behavior....So....If you give Primates Tools and Weapons ... Would they learn how to use them ? Would they have to be taught ? or would they be curious, then leave them alone and resume their Monkey life ?
______________________________...
Then part #2 of this question is ......If they ignore what was presented to improve their lives, How could we have possibly evolved from them ?

This is not directed to any god or religion/belief in particular.

Since there is "evil" in the world is your god unable or just unwilling to deal with it

this allah character anyways??? I did my research on line & found out that this allah dude was not just another name for God, & is nothing more than the old Egyptian moon god alilah. Any one have any info on this contrary to what I read? I was always curious about why a supossed all powerful god needed people to fight & kill in it's name. Some say it's only mythology & others say this allah is just another demon, if ya beleive in such entities. From what I've read it sounds like this allah entity needs to be hung up on the wall & beleivers in it get on with their lives. Wow, this is what all the turmoil in the middle east is all about? Pathetic for sure!

According to many christians all sin, whether it be lying or murder, is equal in God's eyes so, if that is so the punishment for all crimes commited should be the same. Since the penalty for murder is death should the penalty for lying also be death? Should the penalty for all sexual sin be death as it was back then?

I have heard that there are documents or books written around the time of Christ or soon afterwards that mention Christ and are pointed to as evidence that he really did exist. What are these documents?

"For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man. Let the women keep silence in the churches, for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, so saith the law. And if they learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home; for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

I Corinthians 11:3, 7, 9)

What a shame that women follow a religion that scorns them and hates them.

I was in the LGBT on here and I asked what transgendered was about. Some person said they had changed from male to female after praying to God.

Does God agree with this? Does he still view that person as male because he changed his natural body?

I think this question points out the absurdity of the claim that god is all-powerful. If you answer, "Yes he would create it, but choose not to climb it" then you're obviously avoiding the question. All-powerful means that you can do anything, not that you can do anything you WANT to.

I mean if that latter statement is the case, then I can say that even I am all-powerful: I just choose not to show it.

If you look at the combination of all of the miracles of the Quran, and of how nature is displaying it even today, and even within our own selves, you would be absolutely amazed. If you apply logic to it, you know that something higher than what's visible must be at work. I'm a person who won't believe just anything, and I LOVE science. The scientific aspect of Islam is what convinced me to convert 5 years ago. Seeing it just one at a time as on here won't do anything, but if you do your own research, you will be amazed. What do you think of this?

And We have decreed set phases for the moon, until it ends up looking like an old date branch. It is not for the sun to overtake the moon nor for the night to outstrip the day; each one is swimming in a sphere. (Qur'an, 36:39-40)

When it comes to theories like the Big Bang, I just got to wonder, why isn't it entirely possible God created the Big Bang if that is how the galaxy came into being? Also, the Big Bang might explain how one galaxy, our own, came into being, but it does not explain the creation of the entire universe.

I do not believe the Big Bang theory, but that is just an argument I make to point out that belief in a Creator is still possible even while believing theories.

Science is about the mechanics of the universe, and it is far too impossible for some sort of chaotic beginning to have constructed the patterns by which atoms align themselves into physical proportions that make up the material world. There has to be some kind of intelligence that made everything and maintains Creation. Without the will of a higher being how can there continue to exist the universe and all the laws of nature? It seems to me only a mood the media is in to want to try and say there is no God, only science.

How does say, a roman catholic feel about Jewish people? Buddhisim? How does 1 one clergy explain to their paticular following: small but glaring differnces on how one interpets a certain bible? The birth of Christ? The 2nd coming etc? From other people that belive in a greater being. That they are misguided? That they flat out wrong and spreading lies? How do the followers feel? That the other 5.5+ billion souls on the planet are wrong and they are right? Do they ever dbout their small following might have it wrong instead? And if their own interpetation is wrong, then maybe even the broader sense of their religion is incorrect too?

How can you discriminate marriage??? Marriage is about love, right?? Well many people discriminate against it!They say marriage is about love, but it matters who you love! Why does a man and man or women and women getting married hurt you! It doesn't it may make a dent in your bible or what you think! But it doesn't hurt you! I'm not gay but let those who are love who they want and keep your opinions to yourself! Because voting against gay marriage isn't going to make gays less gay! And when you vote against gay marriage it's not an opinion anymore it's an action!

So why do you still discriminate??

p.s. I also wrote this in "Other-society and culture"!!!

I believe that both the Koran and the Bible have too many absurdities, hypocrisies, inconsistencies and contradictions to be considered the word of any god. People for or against the religions of these books can both find passages that support their position. My questions are, “If either of these books were actually the true word of god, then would it not be virtually impossible for a mere human being to find all of these mistakes?” Would a true god make such blatantly obvious mistakes? Would “he” purposely make his desires so obscure and open for misinterpretation and debate? Would this god really be such a cruel, jealous, vindictive, and irrational control freak? I don’t think these traits are conducive to a loving creator. I don’t understand how otherwise intelligent people can believe in these books or their god. I think that these beliefs are a big reason why there will never be peace in this world. (continued)

Yesterday I made a reference to this world being in rough shape…on a global scale.

And I had a whole lot of folks with the normal short sighted answer of…

“god didn’t mess up the world man did”

Ok question…if the windows operation system completely destroyed computers, and let to the downfall of the worlds economy would you blame windows?...or it’s creator Boll Gates?...I’m betting bill gets those law suits.

Ok question 2…if 3 pit bull dogs escape from their home and attack a kill a little girl at the bus stop…do the parents sue the dogs?...or the dogs owners?

Odd how we hold the owners/creators responsible in the real world, but through the eyes of the bible thumper…it’s not the owners/creators that’s responsible.

And you wonder why I say their view is twisted?

They lack logic and reason in the religious field, yet apply it to every day life like the rest of us.

yet, if you think/know there is no god, then ofcorse your answer is man.
