I have an uncle who is a practicing orthodox jew, yet he owns a strip club. No joke! Isn't this looked down severely by their belief system? Just curious.

Wow... Hard to believe...
As an orthodox Jew, I can tell you that what your uncle does is definitely NOT KOSHER, and not allowed!!
Are you sure your uncle is orthodox???????

Definitely not kosher. Even if he himself doesn't go there, there is a prohibition (Leviticus 19:14) against causing others to sin. Immorality is a particularly bad transgression, too, applying even to non-Jews.

Yeah it sounds hypocritical to me.

Though considering the fact that neither I nor you know the full story maybe you should ask him about it?

There's a difference between owning it and frequenting it. I'm assuming he has it managed by others? I don't think you see Jewish men sitting around in it. He's providing a service, basically. If people didn't want it, it would be poor investment and he'd be out.

I can sell you pork chops and refuse to eat them myself- What is wrong for me is not necessarily wrong for you, so why should I not provide it?
