Where are the civil rights there?
They can't help who they fall in love with, so why should society tell them it's not right?

I heard this evil pabulum from one of my biology teachers on friday. How can we as Christians stop the spread of this iniquity?

"Evolution has been massively tested and corroborated.
It is explained by natural selection and, more broadly,
by modern evolutionary theory including sexual
selection, and Mendelian and molecular genetics.
Today, evolution is the unifying principle of modern
biology."
“Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of
evolution”
Dobzhansky, 1973

If anyone insults any religion (not just Christianity), they'll get a bad rating. It IS possible to say that you believe in evolution because religion doesn't make sense without greatly insulting anybody. Other than that, feel free to say pretty much anything.

Both of these are visible on a comparably micro- scale (such as disappearing beach cliffs and earthquakes), but aren't proven on a macro- scale - we've never seen mountains completely disappear, or something like grand canyon get carved, or the continents be rearranged.

However, most scientists believe these things can occur.

99.85% of Earth and Life scientists think the theory of evolution is valid.

Answer me this - do you "believe" in (a) massive-scale erosion, (b) plate tectonics on the Pangaea-scale, and (c) the theroy of (macro) evolution?

If the soul dies when the body dies, how could the "souls" of Revelation 6:9-11, who were of those who had been "slain", cry out "with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord..."?

when you tell me that I chose to be gay? You'd think I'd know, right? Not to mention that it's a well established fact in psychology, based upon studies. Why can't you just accept the truth?

cash and it all slows down? It talks about the need for "faster money" Does this mean we are headed for a "cashless society" as mentioned in Revelations?

Rev 13:16 & 17 He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

What about a low-cal guilt religion where God doesn't want to kill you if you sin ? I sinned and told God I was sorry and He made me feel washed completely and I started smiling and laughing because I was so freaking happy He loved me that much......since then I havent beat myself up about ANYTHING Ive done wrong....why should I ? Jesus washed and forgave me....and now Im cruising along with Him smiling and worshipping Him....

Why do some of you people (creationists) talk down to evolution as though it were impossible, saying its "just a theory"? Have you really looked into evolution and compared it with creationism?

Lets get this cleared up:

Evolution - Theory = A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena

Creationism - Hypothesis = Something taken to be true for the purpose of argument or investigation; an assumption

I'm not trying to talk down to some of you, I just want to know why you believe what you believe. I would like to learn someone else's viewpoint. Does creating the universe in 6 days and making man from dirt, etc. really compare to hundreds of millions of years of speciation/mutations via evolution?

The KJV does not match anything when compared to Greek reference text, Greek interliniary or any Bible that can actually let you compare the origional version to the KJV.

Since your faith is understood by reading the bible why don't most prople care to understand and read the ancient Greek?

I'm interested in being the Organizer of a "Salsa social dancing Meet-up"; an in-person Meet-up Group; to meet and mingle with Religious/Spiritual or Church-attending people, a n y race/ethnicity, who enjoy Salsa dancing and to dance with peer-aged women at the Salsa social dances.

However--

1. if and when I pay the $19.00/month fee to both start this Meet-up group and continue to be the group's Organizer, will there be peer-aged women at the Salsa social dances who w a n t to be both: at least my platonic friend; and, my companion and social dance partner at the Salsa social dance Meet-up event(s)? ? ?

2. How effective is "Meetup.com" in meeting people, in-person, who have common interests, compatible personality???
