Are you upset at them for inviting you to learn their religion? Isn't their God the same anyway?
Could they be trying to take over the word, and make us all Jehova's witnesses?

conundrom: that is so original, I'm not ok, never heard that on here before.
It's just a sarcastic question. I'm immitating people who freak out thinking Muslims want to take over the world and an invite to learn Islam is seen as scary, whereas Christians do itall the time. It's a part of believing in your faith.

Be that as it may. There is a big difference between the Muslin faith,so called Christianity and being one of Jehovah's Witnesses. What is it you ask?
Jehovahs Witnesses do not kill other people. They do not go to war.Nor does the God they worship encourage or promote war, hatred for fellow man, racial differences,or any sort of prejudices.
Jesus said that his followers would be recognised by the 'love they had among themselves'(John13:35)
No other religion has this identifying mark.
Jehovahs Witnesses truly exhibit love. Not only for themselves and their families but for their neighbours and their enemies as well. The 'road to everlasting life' is available to anyone who accepts Jehovah God into their life and lives their life according to his will. Without Jehovahs Witnesses teaching people what God expects from his worshipers and what his will is,then no bodies would be saved.(Mat24:24)

when I was 23 living in Valdez, Alaska.... I was single and had one lady who rented a room from me. Two Jehovah's witnesses would come by on Tuesday afternoons when I would get home from work. We discussed all sorts of things and I harassed them a little as I was and always have been an atheist. by the way it was 16 years ago. I was nice to them and it was funny. I like different views (sort of, you know if everyone thought like me) and let them work on trying to get me to change my mind. It did not help. Well that is when, 16 years ago when I was 23.

They Dont Ask You to " Join " Anything. Its Not A Health Club. People Who Study With Them Have To Make That Determination On Their Own As To Whether They Want To Please Jehovah Or Not.
I Cant Imagine Jesus Asking His Disciples." So How Many Converts Did We Make Today Fella's?
... And Yes, You " Not Ok."

I have been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. I am always inviting people to study the Bible and to attend meetings at the Kingdom Hall. However, the decision to serve Jehovah is strictly a personal one.

Last Samhain (Hallowe'en, for the non-Pagans) one came to my door while I was in black wearing my pentacle. I only dress like that one day a year, by the way. Anyway, they came to my door, took one look at me and my 75-lb Boxer (ah, the loyalty of dogs shall never cease to amaze me), and have never bothered me again. I think that I scared them off!

It has probably been seven or eight years ago. No, I do not get angry when they approach me ( nor am I angered by anyone else who does), but I DO refuse to be swayed, and once I tell them that I am of a different view (Christian), they will either accept and respect that, or they will leave my home!

It may have been over a year ago....
People trying to "Save me", saying the end of times were near....
The abundant use of fear amazes me....of course the founder and elders know that fear can motivate people...of course they know that adding another member creates revenue.
The founder is not a very credible guy so I wave them away.......these people are indeed persistent....
I told them that the day they allow blood transfusions, I will join.....*Laughing*.

About 3 weeks after we moved into our house...2 ladies showed up wanting to have a "bible" study. I brought up the divinity of Christ and all the verses of the Bible pertaining to that fact and they never came back...so I guess I didn't give them a chance to invite me. Jesus is Jehovah. Love in Christ, ~J~
