In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus says:

"And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

Is this part of the Bible literally true? Does it mean that "those who believe" really can drink deadly poison without being harmed?

Now before any Christians read too much into this, I am not scared as in scared of Jesus coming back. Not gonna happen. I'm scared because you people seem to be doing all you can to bring about the apocalypse.

Honest, Practical, Humanatarian, Peaceful and loving people. I have read both the Bible and Quran therefore it is quite strange for me to see Atheists being close to the lives and qualities Jesus and Muhammed then the theists.

Jesus once said "My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don't do anything to show that you really do have faith? Can that kind of faith save you? If you know someone who doesn't have any clothes or food, you shouldn't just say, "I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat." What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help? Faith that doesn't lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead"

Muhammed once said "Do not say, that if the people do good to us, we will do good to them; and if the people oppress us, we will oppress them; but determine that if people do you good, you will do good to them; and if they oppress you, you will not oppress them."
Is it normal to feel ashamed to be theist?

you do realize it's all just evolution, don't you? the idea of macroevolution is like seeing a person at one end of town in the morning and later finding him at the other end of town 10 miles away. when asked how he got there, he replies, "i jumped." obviously, no sane person would believe this, not even if he said he prayed to god that he could jump that far. most likely he walked the 10 miles. walked, being the key word. taking short steps, i.e. microevolution as some would say, over a long enough period will yield a big change.

this just doesn't seem like the work of someone who is fair and just and loving. take for example the offspring of an incestuous relationship. children are more likely to be born with health defects than those whose parents are not related. also consider crack babies. they're born addicted to crack. or how about babies born with aids? why didn't god design us to be born without these burdens? shouldn't the punishment lie with the parents of these babies and not the babies? can you honestly say this is fair? how in your right mind can you justify this as being fair? seriously. especially when you consider that all sin is equal in god's eyes. these babies should be punished no more than if they were born with parents whose only sins were thoughts of lust and the occasional breaking of the sabbath. yet, because their parents sinned in such a way, they have to carry that burden with them for the rest of their lives.

This play that I'm doing requires practice Monday thru Thursday. From the very beginning, they knew that I couldn't come on Wednesday because I go to church/bible study on Wednesday. Everyone doesn't seen to have a problem with it except for one lady. She keeps trying to get me to come to practice on Wednesday's, and she gave me another part and told me how the director really likes the work that I'm doing and that at first she wasn't sure about me but now she's convinced. I think she was just trying bribe me but who knows. But I told her that I would start coming on Wednesday's but then I changed my mind. So how can I tell the lady that I don't want to miss bible study on Wednesday's in a nice way?

That we can choose whatever we want and nothing causes our decisions, cause if something causes our decision.. than we were not truly free to make it.

Advertising (commercial) has been proven to work, conciously or subconciously we all fall for it, so these companies have made us make a decision to buy them... their advietisments caused us to buy their products so we were not truly free. Can someone else affect your free will.

As we all know the dessert is not a very hospitable place. I was just curious since a huge band of wandering jews spent 40 years lost in the desert, where exactly did they get their food and water from? How did they cope with child birth or any form of sanitation during this time?

Of course anti-believers will say believers are the ones afraid to die that's why we "invented" an afterlife. But are you atheists really so comfortable with your concept of dying...the end? I have actually known this feeling all too well as I'm sure many have,it feels like life has no purpose that there is no reason for even being here, and it is very scary to feel so insecure and meaningless. There is an answer to that emptiness though,I'll let you guess what it is...ok now lets hear all those defensive answers...

He created us, he knows everything, he knew what we would do, he created us anyways. To say he didn't do everything premeditated takes away from his power. Why is that so hard to accept? It is not a false presumption, it is the definition of omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence. If god is not all of these, he is not god, just a bumbling tyrant.
