Thank you! I searched for about an hour for the answer but I could not find it, and it's driving me crazy.

because I've heard Evangelicals/Protestants/Bible-fundamentalists call the Catholics non-Christians, and they say that Catholicism is a non-Christian religion, and some even ask what's the difference between Christians and Catholics. isn't that ridiculous?

aren't those protestants considered heretics? why does it seem like they are now the ones considered "real Christians"?

what's going on?

I'm honestly wondering.

If you knew that today was your last day on the Religion and Spirituality forum, what would you want people to remember about you?

(Message to my contacts and friends, I'm spending too much time in this forum and not enough time with my family, and will be leaving in a few days, so I'm going to share questions relating to this topic each day). Any personal messages - please click on my avatar - this answer should be about what you want me to remember about you. :)

A question was asked about global warming. Now I dont claim to know if its completely caused by man or not but it is still something that ought to be looked into. One answer to this question struck me like a slap in the face. I will paraphrase in the way it came across to me.

"Jesus is gonna take me away from here one day so I dont have to give a f***."

A couple of things.
A: According to the christian religion no one knows the when he will return.
B: We know natural and man made disasters occur.
C:It is obvious we are heating up if you think it is caused by man or not.
D:Most of us have children.

Are you really so disgustingly arrogant to barter away the future of YOUR OWN children on a bet about christ returning in your own lifetime?

Makes me sik.

To God, one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like one day?
You must remember to stop bringing God down to human level- to our thinking- for Isaiah says His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts......what God says He will do, HE WILL DO! He keeps His promises and it is always in HIS timing~
2 Peter 3:8
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

you can do something right now that will have real impact in helping towns and cities across the USA get community radio - media that belongs to the people and gives the real story when mainstream media wont ...
.. you can act now by simply speaking up ... the Federal Communications Commission is asking you how you feel about the difference between locally-based community radio and large conservative media groups like mega-churches with deep pockets that are trying to grab the entire radio dial. They are asking you to comment as an American citizen ..
http://www.freepress.net/fcc/comment.php?dn=fullpowerradio
HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING:
This October, community groups will have a final chance to bring full-power local radio to their areas. The FCC will allow Americans to apply for licenses to build stations in the FM band's non-commercial section - Noncommercial Educational (NCE) licenses between 88 and 92 FM.
This is an historic application window. This October is likely the very last chance for local community groups to obtain a full-power community radio license, because in most communities, only one radio frequency remains available.
During October's media gold rush, we community folks could get shut out. During non-commercial licensing periods in the recent past, single large players (many of them are conservative religious radio networks) have engaged in speculative behavior or attempted to build nationwide networks by applying for frequencies in hundreds of communities.
In response to this problem, and to create fairer conditions of competition this time, the FCC has proposed setting a maximum number of 10 licenses per applying group. This would help a local community group that is applying for a radio license have a better chance against a high-powered national broadcast outfit.
But the large conservative media groups object., The FCC needs to have evidence of support for the limit. So they are giving you an opportunity to let them know that as an American citizen, you believe that local media, "the small guys" need a fair chance. Tell them you support the application limit.

Christians, if for some reason you went to Hell would you be angry at God, or would you be okay with it? Would you think God was evil for putting you in Hell, or that He was just and you deserve to be there for an Eternity for your mistakes.

You can not say for sure if you are going to Heaven or Hell, so I see this as a valid question that should not be side stepped.

Thank you.

When I die and they lay me to rest gonna go to the place that's best. When they lay me down to die goin on up to the spirit in the sky. That's where I'm gonna go when I die...

Prepare yourself, you know it's a must...gotta have a friend in Jesus. So you know that when you die, he's gonna recommend you to the spirit in the sky!

Never been a sinner, I've never sinned. I've got a friend in Jesus so I kow when I die he's gonna set me up with the spirit in the sky....

Loses it's coolness without the music, but I love hippie Jesus music, don't you?

Adam and Eve did not commit any major crime -- they just had a little curiosity. And I think anybody who had any sense would have done the same. It was absolutely certain to happen -- because there is a deep need in man to know. It is intrinsic, it is not sin.

It is in the very nature of man to know. And God is prohibiting him. He is saying, "Remain ignorant."

Speaking of His return in Luke 17, the Lord Jesus says from verse 28,
"Likewise, even as it happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;"
Verse 29 - "But ON THE DAY in which Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all."
Verse 30 - "It will be IN THE SAME WAY on the day in which the Son of Man is revealed."

If we read the account of the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah in Genesis 19, we see that after the righteous Lot was evacuated, judgement fell upon the two cities IMMEDIATELY(verses 22 - 24).
Doesn't this picture from the Lord show us that the interval between the rapture of the church & the judgement of the ungodly will be brief, rather than the 7 years which is commonly believed among those of a pre-trib perspective ?

Your thoughts, please ?

Thanks in advance for all polite, sincere answers.

May God bless you.
