Does it make you sad and angry that Christians are still raping and ruining precious indigenous cultures?

Suzanne, anytime you folks meddle with another culture in an effort to proselytize you change it in to something it's not. That is raping and ruining a culture.

Bobo, other Waodanis tell a different story. The fact remains the Waodani culture no longer exists, does it? It's gone the way of the Navajo, Apache, and Oglala.

I have some good friends from S America who were converted, of their own free will.
We had a speaker from the Waodani tribe at our church last year. His father was one of the men who killed the missionaries Jim Elliot and Nate Saint. He tells a different story than you do.
Who to believe, you or the Waodani?

Edit: funny thing, we now have African missionaries preaching here in the US. We also have Korean missionaries doing the same.
Neither of these Christian groups were proselytized by the West.

The real question should be, doesn't it make you sad and angry ignorant people like that kill missionaries who are preaching nothing but peace and love of Christ?

Four of my direct relatives were missionaries in Ecuador, long before the young men portrayed in the film were there. I can assure you, none of my relatives raped or ruined anyone.

my favorite aspect of that movie is the fact that the lead actor is gay. I wonder how christians feel about that?
