If you knew that today was your last day on the Religion and Spirituality forum, what would you want people to remember about you?

(Message to my contacts and friends, I'm spending too much time in this forum and not enough time with my family, and will be leaving in a few days, so I'm going to share questions relating to this topic each day). Any personal messages - please click on my avatar - this answer should be about what you want me to remember about you. :)

If you want others to see this question, please give me a star. Thanks!

Now that most of my contacts have answers, plus some other people. Thank you all for the kind words, and yes, I will miss you guys. You have no idea how much you have impacted on my life, and I thank you for the wonderful questions you have posed which have often make me think about my relationship with God and how I live my life.

I also thank you for the opportunity to get answers from all of you.

In particular, thank you to those of you who cared to accept me as one of you. I was so touched when those who are not Christians learned to accept me.

But what do I hope to be remembered for?
I hope that you remember me with a smile and with a kind thought. That you know that I love God and that I care about you through the love of God. It is his love that gives me the capacity to love others. I also hope that if you are searching, you will remember that a wacky redhead from Michigan hopes to see you in heaven some day.

A legacy. How will people remember me. hmmmm!
Did I choose to love?

I would hope that I was remembered as a strong woman!
Strong in faith!
Strong in compassion!
Strong in love!
Strong in forgiveness!

I would hope that something I said, somehow, effected at least one person.

I wasn't so serious about myself. I often laugh at myself, (I can be lame).

I would hope, that when they thought of me.. they'd smile!

What I would want people to remember about me.... I hope people remember me for the questions that I asked, and the advice that I gave to others. But in the end those things pass away. What doesn't is the character of the person. I would hope that most would remember me for the person that I was. How I was a Godly person. That the Lord spoke to people through me. I hope that you will remember me by those things. I am sad to see you leave, but what you do is an honorable thing seeing the horrible conditions of our homes today. But where ever you go, I know that God will bless you.
Your friend in Christ
Alex

I can totally relate to spending too much time here! I've been slowing down myself! I will miss you and hope that after a while you can come back from time to time! You're such a sweet and kind presence here.

I would like to be remembered as sweet and kind among the many other things I would surely like to be remembered as:

A Christian - who is liberal (because we do exist and we're still "true" Christians). A former Catholic who stands up for Catholicism every time I see it attacked here. A feisty woman with a huge sense of humor who likes to laugh a lot and sometimes actually inspires others to laugh (or at least chuckle). Someone who is open to knowing people of other faiths, people with no faith, and people in both groups willing to hear each other out and in the end agree to disagree and be friends anyway. I would like for people to remember me and think of me as a Christian who thinks outside of the box and uses her head as well as her heart.

I reserve the right to come back and add more later if I think of more. This is what immediately comes to mind.

You will be missed! (((Searcher)))

That of all the things I ever did I tried to get people to see the Love of Christ for them.

That I was a worthy servant of Christ in that I showed that I loved God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.

And after having said paragraph 2, I wanted those I was trying to reach to see I didn't always live up to my own expectations for God, thru His death on the cross I still had access to Him thru confession of sin, and fellowship with Him in praise and worship.

Finally that I tried to challenge those that claimed Christ as their savior the most to get out there and share their faith to a world that is dying of thirst, to be the living wellsprings of water that Jesus said we would be. And that I emplorred thse that dod not know Christ to come, and behold His glory, accept His love, and sacrafice, because he is not a myth...

There is a song that talks about what if....
what if this stuff about God is just a load of hooey, and what if the bible is just a book of fokelore that is to be read as such...

And then the song asks the question

But what if your wrong? What if there is more? What if the word that we share is true and the the thing we speak of are onle shadows of an actual glory to hard for our simple minds to comprehend, and Jesus is ther and He is standing between the earth and heaven waiting, calling, beckoning for ALL TO COME!!!!

what if the bible is true, I believe that you wont loose a thing if you believe in God, and he is not. But mostly I believe that you will loose everything if you don't believe and He is real.

something to ponder, and yes God is real. seek Him out and ask Him to prove it... He Will....

I would want people to remember that I really want to honor God in all I say and do. I do struggle sometimes, and am not perfect....I am a work in progress. I understand how easy it is to spend too much time on here. These people are real.....but they don't live with me and I am not responsible for them. Family does need to come first! I wish you the best....come back and visit. Maybe have a designated amount of time...which I know is hard to stick to....lol. (I think I'll answer just ONE MORE QUESTION!!)

If today was your last day on the R&S forum, what would you want people to remember about you? Actually, It wouldn't matter to me, if they remembered me at all, let alone my beliefs or ideas. No offense to any of you, but you really don't matter all that much in the grand scheme of my life. The only people who I really would like to remember anything about me are the people that I am close to, as in family and friends. The people that I have real emotional attachments to. Your ego is to big, if you think that your answers on here make you worthy of remembrance. I say it is time for a reality check. Come on. How many people on here, can you say that you have an emotional bond with, where you can claim that you truly know them? Get out and live life people. While investing time here might be fun, it really isn't a replacement for real life.

Here's how people remember me...

I don't know

They know I'm an Atheist with a triangle for an avatar and that I listen to heavy metal. It's not like I'm supposed to be the biggest impact on anyone's life here. I answer questions as seen and understood by my brain.

If one thinks it's a negative aspect, then that's all right. But what really blagoonga's me is that I actually have fans of my answers. That's what spartpluhs me.

I'm a banana.

Oh, yeah, my random sense of humor (which is rather dry).

Well, as the same with anyone who meets me. . .I hope to be remembered as a kind person w/ a genuine care for people and their problems. I hope everyday that I let my true self show to people and that my true self represents the love of Christ in my heart.

I have been blessed with a heart of compassion and although there have been times I believed my compassion has been a downfall for me, I would not change it about me. I honestly love people and care for people. . .I respect other peoples views and I believe that is why I get respect in return for mine and I truly hope that is what shows in my walk and in my talk everyday.

I would want them to know , that I love the Lord more than anything or anyone. And that I will for the love that I have for my Savior Jesus, always speak the truth, no matter if people like me after that or not. I will not water down the Gospel, like so many do nowadays and I want people to remember that I am on the battlefield for the Lord , until I die, like the song says.
God bless you.......

I would want others to know, that I tried my very best to answer every single question with my experience as a Christian of 27 years,,,,,and I always try to show why I believe what I do, by the scriptures.

I never take even the simplest of questions as not serious. I had a lot of questions when I got saved, that might seem obvious to others brought up in the faith,,,,but I wasn't...I didn't even realize who Jesus was after spending so many years unaware of the teachings of the Bible...so I try to answer, even if others might find them foolish....I don't...I know where you are coming from...there is a lot to learn about the Bible, God,,Jesus...it can seem overwhelming at first.. But hang in there...the reward for all that study,,,is eternal life...
