This play that I'm doing requires practice Monday thru Thursday. From the very beginning, they knew that I couldn't come on Wednesday because I go to church/bible study on Wednesday. Everyone doesn't seen to have a problem with it except for one lady. She keeps trying to get me to come to practice on Wednesday's, and she gave me another part and told me how the director really likes the work that I'm doing and that at first she wasn't sure about me but now she's convinced. I think she was just trying bribe me but who knows. But I told her that I would start coming on Wednesday's but then I changed my mind. So how can I tell the lady that I don't want to miss bible study on Wednesday's in a nice way?

I wouldn't have even agreed to do it if they would have told us the schedule ahead of time.

If you knew you couldn't commit to the project as it was set up, you shouldn't have even tried.

Now that you've done it anyway, tell her the truth: "I've got a commitment to my Faith that is more important to me than this project. Thank you for the enthusiasm toward my work, but please understand that to do this project well means that I have to be true to myself, and my faith is a large part of who I am."

If she doesn't understand that, to hell with her! LOL

Good Luck!

Tell her the truth and speak to the Director as well as God... maybe the TIME can be changed for rehearsal OR for Bible Study for a while...

Sometimes you NEED to go to the Head Guy(s) to get a matter settled. :)

Peace be with you ;0

Why did you agree to be in the play if you can't be there all the time? It's unfair to the others and frankly, it seems rather selfish.

I think you need to say you have a prior commitment that means a lot to you and you are not willing to bend on it. Tell her you appreciate her support in you, and you are willing to participate on any other day (maybe except Sunday also)

Tell her in no nice way at all. She is pure temptation and just a tool in Satan's hands, so do her a favour and let her know.
