Now before any Christians read too much into this, I am not scared as in scared of Jesus coming back. Not gonna happen. I'm scared because you people seem to be doing all you can to bring about the apocalypse.

Well... you SHOULD be scared. It's a lot worse than you might think. Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, Theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values, under cover of front organizations like the Christian Coalition, the American Family Association and the Promise Keepers. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.

Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”

They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.

Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. See: JESUS CAMP http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/jesuscamp/trailer/

Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly 'explain it' to them.

All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans.

By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

So you think Christians are solely responsible for the increase in earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters, the spread of disease, and the wars that are happening, all of which are signs of the end of times? WOW! If I, as a Christian, had the power to control nature, I would make it rain here so I could get another cutting of hay off my field for my horses.

Maybe what you are referring to is the talk amongst Christians about the signs of the apocalypse. Nobody knows exactly when the apocalypse is going to happen and Christians cannot influence God to go ahead and send it on. It seems like people who don't get taken in the rapture will have a second chance, though. That's good for a lot of people who don't believe it's going to happen.

One question though: you say Jesus isn't going to come back. If you believe that, why would talk of the apocalypse scare you? Please don't read that as me trying to be sarcastic or anything, I just don't understand how something you don't believe in could scare you? It's like me being afraid of Freddy Krueger, who doesn't exist.

Well, I do know that between Stalin and Mao, both atheists, an estimated 40m to 60m people died, as a direct result of their political agenda.

Those are high water marks, and not so easy to touch.

The Kim family in N Korea has been working hard, but will likely never hit the marks noted above.

I'm not sure how we are attempting to bring about the apocalypse, but I'm sure others along the lines of Stalin, Mao and Kim will show their ugly faces again.

I don't think that was a rant.

Revenge? Come on, a rapist is a danger to each physique elses well-being, it particularly is greater suitable to rid the international of one undesirable apple than to allow that undesirable apple to injury the bunch, no be counted what his tale is. i could evaluate it to be a mercy killing, because of the fact it particularly is obtrusive the guy has some important torment occurring upstairs. Why extend and unfold the torment? The view of having sympathy on the perpatrator is one factor I unquestionably hate approximately Christianity, because of the fact human beings choose and deserve justice, punishments must be enforced, because of the fact without outcomes the international could replace into an anarchy and in basic terms the main excellent and maximum wicked could stay to tell the story. purely because of the fact you have faith in God, it does not advise you're immune or secure against the evils in this international, once you have been lower back and lower back subjected to such evil acts, and your God does unquestionably no longer something to guard you or set issues precise, then you certainly can come and seek advice from me approximately peace, love, and forgiveness. in basic terms the ignorant have faith in Gods justice! Forgive the mum that throws her toddler off a bridge into oncoming site visitors or the guy that rapes a three month previous my butt! ;-)

You sound atheistic. Are you pro-choice? Then you are in favor of genocide. You are in favor of wiping out an entire class of human beings - the preborn. Abortion has already wiped out 1/3 of the American workforce. Social security is paid not by the people who are collecting it, but by the current workforce. Social Security is decreasing because of this significant drop in the workforce in the last 30 years. People who are supposed to be here aren't here.

We can neither bring it on or stop it, it will happen when it is supposed to. I don't fear it because I won't be here to witness it. Does sound scary though. Remember it happens for mans sake, as a final chance to come to God. That's why 7 yrs of some serious reminders, some left behind will know right away and repent, lots will be so hard hearted it will take a sledge hammer to get through ,and lots will never repent.

I'm not scared of it at all. If/when it comes there is nothing anyone can do to stop it anyway. I try not to think about or even talk about the apocalypse.

I suspect the US is at war in Iraq more because of Christian end-times fanaticism than for any other reason. Dispensationalist Christians are the reason Israel was resurrected in the first place - an attempt to force the hand of prophecy.

If your theory was correct (which it is not), then you'd see Christians doing everything they could to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. But because we aren't trying to "bring about the apocalypse," we haven't.

To the contrary, Christians are trying to warn anyone who will listen that we are in the end times and it appears that several major prophesies are close to fulfillment: in particular, the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion of Israel by Russia, Iran and other Middle Eastern countries. Sadly, many people such as yourself are so used to viewing us as lunatics that you refuse to listen.
