Are you aware...that Muslims believe Jesus is the Messiah and we believe he will return. He will kill the anti Christ, unite Muslims and Christians and bring peace to the world. Just telling the facts as they are in Islam for those of you who don't know. There are many differences between Islam and Christianity but also some interesting similarites.
Note: IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY THEN DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. Thankyou.

Their is a catholic priest in the Netherlands who suggests we (Chrisians and Jews) all call our God Allah. As if this would somehouw placate the Moslems. The problem being is that the Moslems nor the Jews believe in Christ. Anybody think this is a good idea??

. It seems to draw criticism & ridicule from non-believers or people trying to find the truth. When there are so many unanswered questions, it’s time 2 start thinking for yourself. Don’t let anyone tell U the way U should think, including me. U have the right to reject or accept any belief. It takes time & experiences in life to believe and build faith, and 2 keep faith. Religions get caught up in he/she said, if U don’t do it our way, this will happen. God does not want U thru fear, God is love and all what love stands for. Love is not a chemical in the brain that is a “feel good hormone”, nor is it a fairytale fantasy. Love is as real as life is, proof that U are living & breathing. Life is no fairtytale, nor is being in love or believing life after death. Your heart & mind carries the truth. What do u have to lose by talking or praying to God and asking that U find the truth?

Note that I do NOT wine (I know that is haram LOL!)
Just the glasses.

I use wine glasses, when I have dinner parties etc because I think they are elequent and look nice.

However I'm not sure if they are allowed because aren't we not meant to immitate the 'haram' So would using wine glasses be seen as immitating drinking wine?

All the atheists on this site have deduced by logic that the existence of a superior being, creation and the divine nature of christ and all of the pseudo gods don´t hold water.
Tell me: Why does logic works to calculate the spin rate of a pulsar but doesn´t to demonstrate that Jesus´ sacrifice wasn´t a sacrifice at all. (please check my Qs, I don´t want to repeat myself.)
Why do we use deductions to calculate an IQ, yet we don´t want to apply it to faith?
Can we play fair now? Or do you really want to keep on cheating, my believer friends?

If everyone is a "sinner", then wouldn't "sinful lifestyle" cover everyone? Why the need to single people out sometimes?

I have noticed a lot of Atheist - Not ALL Atheists, but a lot of them who post on these boards have a couple of the SAME things mistaken and I am curious as to where they got their info. (ps, I realize that most real atheists dont give a hoot and won't post..)

1) Why do you think Heaven is a "cloud" thing up in the sky? I know there are some cartoons like that from way back but religious script doesn't reflect this

2) Why does everyone say "go up to Heaven" when in reality HEaven will come down?

3) Why is there an assumption that religions don't care about the Earth- It's an American/Chinese/etc.. problem not having to do with faith- religions call on there people to be "green" and love the earth and coexist with it.

4) Science is beatiful and important. Most Christians embrace it. Why do atheists in these boards think that is not true????????????

5) Why is is religion vs evolution for most of you in here?? One is a way of living the other is a theory??

A couple of years ago I was interested in converting (reverting) to Islam. So I visited my local mosque. (The main mosque in a large British city) It had on it's website that it welcomes visitors from all faiths. So I thought it would be a good place to go.
I went to the mosque reception/ office and asked about information about Islam because I was interested in converting

But all he said to me was "Go to college" and pointed to a small room with teenage boys using computers. I walked towards the room, and knocked on the semi open door. And they just shut the door in my face.
I was almost in tears fortunalty a nice girl saw me. And was very helpful.

If I had not been really wanting to convert. This experience would have put me off. However I know that just because some men are rude dosen't mean that they have anything to do with Islam.

...about theism that is.

I'm thinking of becoming a Maltheist (someone who believes in God but believes God is evil)

It explains everything equally as well as atheism but still allows us to run for public office because we can call ouselves "people of faith."

I went to a friends' youth group last week, and this woman was talking about this project they did in Tijuana to build a house for a very poor family. I thought that was great, but she kept mentioning how all money is "God's money", and how all the money we use actually belongs to God himself. My friend is pretty extreme when it comes to religion, and I was wondering if this is just her church that thinks this, or is this a common belief among Christians? Do people really think that the money they earn is actually God's money? I find it ridiculous, but I suppose that's what some people think. Anyway, thanks!
