No one spends eternity burning in a lake of fire. Those burned up will become the ashes under the soles of the feet of the righteous. All this can be proven out of the bible.

No. There is such a thing as true, real forgiveness and true, real "repenting"... that is in modern phraseology, "being sorry and never doing it again"... for adultery is the same principle as breaking a promise: lying... being unfaithful, untrustworthy, and more. When you commit it, you not only hurt the significant other, you hurt yourself and everyone who ever had faith in you. Truly deciding not commit it again, making it right by living up to the wrongdoing, and deciding once and for all never to make a promise you can't keep will help to rectify it... and faith in believing that if God forgives you before you even think to ask it, then forgiving yourself... and then dealing with those who have been deceived by the behavior in an appropriate loving manner... and going on with your life ... that's what commiting evil against another human being is about... that's what rehabilitation and growing from an immature and insincere person into a loyal, mature and rugged faithful human being is all about.
You see there are three types of forgiveness, that from God, that from yourself, and that from everyone affected by the behavior.
There is no lake of fire. The hell is created by having to go through the trials of having been an untrustworthy scoundrel or scoundreless. People just don't take adultery very well.
Best wishes to you.

No. If someone is presented Gods Saving Grace correctly & that person rejects Gods Truth & Love, that person has rebelled against God. Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. This can be done on ones death bed. Because when someone is close to dieing, they think about the past and decide whether to repent, etc... So, even if one repents at the end of life, confessing Jesus Christ their Lord & Savior w/heart faith in Resurrection, that person will be born of God, redeemed by His blood. Agnostics don't believe in the physcial resurrection. They will have to repent for not believing Jesus raised up an everlasting body. So, you must believe in your heart the resurrection from the dead. If they refuse to believe then they will end up in hell fire, the degree dependent on their sins. No one is in the Lake of Fire yet, and won't be for a long time. The first one in is the beast & false prophet & they will be tormented forever. The Lake of Fire is the second death. At the Great White Throne Judgment death & hell will give up the dead in them. Then the person will be judged according to works (conscience & land laws). Those whose names are not found written in the books of life are thrown into the Lake of Fire.

No, although if you have a conscious and were in love with the person you committed adultery against, you have made your own hell. If none of these apply, pay backs are a *****.

Troy,
It is a sin the same as any other. GOD expects a married couple to be faithful to one another and not divorce unless the spouse has been unfaithful (Adulterous). That person has no right to remarry ever according to the scriptures. GOD's SON will be the Judge. We know that HE is a righteous Judge and that HE will take all things into account but I do not see much room for an adulterous person in heaven. We need to follow the scriptures as closely as we possibly can. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds
PS... It is not a Christian's place to judge others and I do not intend to do so.

the lake of fire is symbolic of being destroyed forever (Revelation 20:13-15) . . .And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha′des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. 14 And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. 15 Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire. . .
, just think throwing the devil into hell? also death? that means that they will be gone foever

In the Bible, God says, "Whoever looks upon a woman with lust has committed adultery in his heart." If this is the case and we're all doomed if we've ever ogled the opposite sex, it sounds like Jesus is going to be awfully lonely up there in Heaven.

if the adulters haven't asked Jesus for forgiveness when He returns, yes they will spend eternity in the lake of fire...however, Jesus paid the price for all sins but one when He was nailed to the cross and died for us...anyone who blasphemes the Holy Ghost is doomed for eternity...God will have the Book of Life with all sins erased by Jesus if we have asked for forgiveness...

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
