Humans are actually the neediest creatures in existence. It is because of this neediness that we love.
We require that someone lose themselves in our very being, that one join together with us in life, that we meld with another and have the fusing of two into a single unit. We need to know that another is a possession of ours in spirit, that another has sublimated themself to us, and that we have reciprocated. It is not enough to mate for a season; we must build a life. It is not enough to ensure the propitiation of the species, we need for our names to continue after us.
All of these things speak of the great requirements of the fragile human spirit. We are needy, thus we love.
This neediness is a gift, in that it compels us not only by reason of its ache in our hearts, but by reason of the unparalleled joy that it showers upon us.
What loving, fragile, needy creatures we are.

On the last day of creation, God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” (Genesis 1:26). Thus, He finished His work with a “personal touch.” God formed man from the dust and gave him life by sharing His own breath (Genesis 2:7). Accordingly, man is unique among all God’s creations, having both a material (body) and an immaterial (soul / spirit) part.
Socially, man was created for fellowship. This reflects God's triune nature and His love. In Eden, man’s primary relationship was with God (Genesis 3:8 implies fellowship with God), and God made the first woman because “it is not good that the man should be alone” (Genesis 2:18). Every time someone marries a wife, makes a friend, hugs a child, or attends a church, he is demonstrating the fact that we are made in the likeness of God.

we are social animals. If we hasn't worked together as a collection then our species could have died decrease back on the plains of Africa. So communities that felt sturdy emotions for one yet another could be lots greater probably to be cooperative with one yet another and as a result lots greater probably to stay to tell the tale and reproduce. Love itself is in hassle-free terms a chemical reaction, in spite of how sturdy it feels. Bit like a drug certainly. Edit: i'm afraid i'm not a biochemist and don't keep in mind the small print of it offhand i'm afraid. i think of a google seek over it could desire to happen some outcomes in spite of the undeniable fact that. i comprehend i've got examine articles on it earlier.

That is a good question, Rammie. I think it's different for different people. Some people love from a pure heart and some love for selfish motives. My grandson is 8 and he only seems to love people that benefit him in some way or that he can use. He only goes over one of his little friend's houses if they have a play station game he wants to play or something that he wants to do or play with. It's sad. We're trying to teach him the difference.

Because God first loved us, and that we are made in his image. Our compassion we have comes through us from the Holy spirit. Once you cross that line into heaven you would feel the love like never before, it's much greater it's on a whole new level.
Love on earth In a sense, it's basically like "randomly like" compare to the love in heaven.

Because love is one of God's cardinal virtues. It was what made him share it with a thinking creation, not just keep it to himself. It is one of the prime ways we are made in the image of our creator, since we don't actually look alike, it means being made in God's image has to mean something else, and it is how we express God's virtuous qualities.
Sad part is how few people know they are being misled by the God of this System of Things. In the preface of most Bibles (especially versions since they are translations of translations) there are notes about the translation of God the Universal Sovriegn's name into the words Lord or Most High sadly these are titles, not names. In the ancient hebrew the tetragrammaton was translated YHWH or JHVH (Yahweh or in the english Jehovah). It is sad because his name has meaning and power "He Causes to Become."
Malachi 3:16-18 has meaning when you wonder what the name of God is, and about those thinking on it.

We are created in the image of God, and even He desired fellowship. Who am I to argue with my maker? I do know I only thought I knew how to love before my encounter with a living God. I find myself moved to care about people now that would likely have escaped my notice before I was taught to love by my Lord.

I like a lot of people and things, but I love those that are sincere, honest and genuine and love unconditional...haven't met many, but that is what draws me to love.. Words are very cheap, but I like those that act instead of talking a lot.

Good question Rammie
When God said, let us make them in our image, they took a pinch of Gods love and instilled it within our hearts. It is one of the many small traits of a supreme God who is all loving
