Isaac was the one chosen of god but Ishmael was also blessed to father nations just that they would always be at war with one another till this day and beyond.

Yitzhak (Isaac) was a man who "dwelled in tents" for learning Torah. Ishmael on the other hand was a "man of the field" whose animal desires were not restricted by any intellect. Ishmael was given the divine spark of strength so that all of his descendant's acquired his animal desires (ie Amelek; Rome) and strength. Today's world is a large mixture of descendants including Ishmael's animal desires.

Gen 16:11 And the Angel of Jehovah said to her, Behold, you are with child, and shall bear a son. And you shall call his name Ishmael, because Jehovah has heard your affliction.
Gen 16:12 And he will be a wild man. His hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him. And he shall live in the presence of all his brothers.

Gen 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall father twelve chiefs, and I will make him a great nation.
Gen 17:21 But I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time in the next year.

No!

Issac and Ishmael were both blessed by God. "Ishmael" means God hears.

However, from the Judeo-Christian point of view, it was through Issac's lineage that God would bring salvation to the world.

Not really but God was going to give his blessing as he saw fit, and part of how he saw fit was when everyone believed it impossible due to Abram's (to become Abraham) and Sara's advanced age... partially because to prove that nothing was impossible with God, and to honor his own arrangements... such as the marriage covenant initiated in the Garden of Eden.
