I understand that suicice bombers are promised 72 virgins when they meet Alah in heaven. I suppose the martyrs don't get to see what they're going to get until kingdom come. Since the virgins were all masked and fully clothed on earth, do they keep their clothes on in "paradise"?

Why would he make sure Aunt Mabel's heart surgery goes well, but ignore the Holocaust?

Surely, millions prayed for his intervention during the Holocaust....

Who are these religious zealots on R/S who try to censor us by deleting our questions and trying to delete our freedom of speech?

Do these religious zealots know how to read the red letters in the Bible; the actual messages of Jesus?

At school, we stand and a speaker thing, says the pledge of allegiance. The teacher says, we don't need to stand if it's against our religion, but I think i'm the only one that would stay seated. So should I just stand anyway because i'm not actually saying it, or just stay seated. But if I don't stand people will ask why I'm not standing, and will probably scare them, because so much people think atheists are bad people, which is really annoying. =/

ive been going to a catholic school since i was 2 and im so sick of it! i dont even believe in any of it and the more i learn about the religion the more i think it's not real. i have a religion class where we get homework, projects, tests, and all of that. its just annoying having to study for all of that and the religion book makes me even more frustrated cuz it states it as a fact and i hate it. i cant go to a public school cuz the only 1 in my district is a terrible school and im not allowed to go there. i dont really know if y'all can even give me any advice but im just getting so fed up with it and rambling on and on about it seems to help a little, lol

After a couple of years on yahoo (between the old yahoo news boards, and now yahoo answers) reading post's from the evangelical atheist's I believe I have what it takes to convert and become one of them.

The way I figure it all I have to do to be a good evangelical atheist is obsess about something I claim to not believe in, quote scripture out of context, tell others what it is they believe and don't believe in as Christians, build nonsensical arguments based on circular logic, and tell everyone that chooses to have a faith (especially Christians) that they are not only stupid, but mentally weak.

So, now that I know the requirements of being a yahoo evangelical atheist, am I ready to convert?

Ive been brought up with a bible and a "god is everything" point of view. But to the others who weren't subject to that, what do you think? What about past lives? What about Karma and Buddah or the Koran? What do you think?

Why do many of you non believers need scientific proof to believe in something. All of u say you don't believe in God because u need proof. The only proof is the bible and to believe the bible you need faith. The reason their is no scientific proof is because God wants you to have faith in him. Ever heard of it. Have trust and faith so u can build a relationship with him. And believe me once you have the faith, it's so obvious that he is there with u every step of the way. You can see him in all creation and feel him everywhere. But you need a little faith. I mean all your beliefs are based on faith 2, none of the evidence u say u have is proven fact. It all has loopholes so you just have faith that ur evidence is true. We have faith that the bible ( our evidence ) is true except ours dosnt have loopholes. And God gives you joy and happiness, ur beliefs dont give you that feeling and if they do they wont last. So why do u say u need scientific proof to believe in something?

This is from the Islamic bible the Koran. verse ( 9:11)

Koran ( 9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Love Yahoo asked the Born Again Christians if it bothered them if Mormons called themselves "Christian".

This is my response.

Would it bother you if a Born Again Christian attended your church and wore a cross around his or her neck and carried a Bible that was translated into normal English that was understandable to the average person?
If he or she attended a Bible study in your church and used only the Bible as the guide and claimed the baptism he or she recieved at their church was true, would you accept them?
What if he or she fellowshipped with others in your membership and began to teach with authority in the name of Jesus and many believed and were saved. Would you accept them with open arms?
You say you are the Church of Jesus Christ, so that means anyone who believes in Jesus would be welcome as brothers, Right?
If you would exclude a Christian from your membership simply because he doesnt believe all the lies Joseph Smith told, then you are not Christian

The purpose of Prophets was to show an example to mankind.

They were also sent to preach the message of God unto mankind and teach the laws of God.

If Christians make these duties one for god or his son to do then where do the Prophets fit in ?

Have they ever considered that Jesus was a Great Israelite Prophet and others deified him after his departure.

Our world is in a mess. We can't count on mankind to straighten things up. Things are going out of control with all the killings, hunger and sickness. consider the following scenario. God sends a message to all the leaders of the world to assemble at the United Nations. God appears and warns everyone that if their respective countries failed to be humane and be kind to one another they will be severly punished. So that He will be taken seriously, He does some godly demonstration such as causing severe earthquake or fire in the sky. Will that work?
