Jesus is an ever present help in time of need.
No greater peace and joy.
I've been a christian a long time and I know that serving Jesus and knowing I'll someday be with Him in Heaven is far greater then having no eternal hope on earth or in eternity.

Jesus promises stuff that no one else can deliver. He not only promised me a place with Him for all eternity, but He promised to care for me in this life, all through it.
I worship Him because He likes it when I do it. I serve Him because it's a part of our relationship. He loves me, you know.
So I have been given purpose; something that I never really had. I never knew what I wanted in life. I never knew what I wanted to do. I wouldn't stick to anything in my former life.
But Jesus gave me purpose, and He also gives me direction. I don't have to wonder what to do with my life, and I don't have to try to think of something to do. I serve Him.
The reason why all this got started is simple: He wanted me to be one of those people who were different from everybody else in the world. He wanted me to walk and talk with Him like Adam did, like Enoch did, and like Moses did. I take that as a great honor.
So there is nothing that this world has to offer that does not pale in comparison compared to what I have now. It's like walking towards a dream that I never could have without Him:
The dream that I can live in peace with God, the one who created all this stuff around us. The one who knows how to make a better world than man could ever make.

Because I know that he lived, breathed, and died for me and you. My faith is not a blind faith, it is based on what I have seen. I HAVE seen people healed, and Jesus is the healer. I know that Jesus loves me, so I love him back. I live for him, breathe for him, and I would give my life for him. I worship him because he is worthy of praise. I serve him because he served me first, he told me in his word that "Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me." - John 15:26.
I believe in nothing more than the fact that Jesus was the living son of God, that he died on the cross and was raised on the third day, and that he will come back someday for me and everyone who has accepted the salvation that he offers.
Shalom

Because "this truly is the Son of God"
Remember those words from the man who drove the nails into His flesh and pierced His side with the lance. That Roman soldier's words alone are testament enough.
Even Pilate acknowledged His diety to the Jews after His crucifixion.

I do not worship Jesus because Jesus asked me not to I worship his Father and I pray as Jesus taught to the Father. I glorify Christ but worship the Father. If you've studied the Bible you should know what I mean.

I love Jesus because He first loved me.
I worship Him because every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD!
I serve Him because it fills me with joy to do the works of faith that bring glory to God alone.

Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He is God. His self-sacrifice removed the barrier or sin from between me and the Father. He loves me.
9"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14You are my friends if you do what I command. 15I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 17This is my command: Love each other."

I honor and recognize Jesus as the ruler of God's Kingdom, yet I, as Jesus, reserve worship for his father alone.
You see, Jesus always prayed to his father, and, I think, that a person who wants to call themself a Christian, should do what Jesus set as the example. And, the example he set was to pray to his father.
