I used to be mormon so I can tell you exactly what they would do. They would welcome that person into their church and try to convert him to mormonism. As for him fellowshipping and converting, well he could try until his face turned blue but it wouldn't get him very far. They're brainwashed into their cult, you're brainwashed into yours. Get over yourself. They need to be "saved" because they don't believe the same things that you do? Give me a break

Attending church is no problem. Happens all the time. Use the Bible. This year we are studying the New Testament. When we bring up a doctrine that you normally by-pass, just close your ears.
What would not be acceptable is to drive out the Spirit by being contentious.
You jump right into the question of membership. If he doesn't believe in in the doctrine of the church, why join? I remember when I wanted to join the Presbyterians, they had a catechism class. If you challenged the doctrine, you didn't join.
So I guess someone who has authority and believes Joseph Smith was a prophet and told the truth would be embraced in your church or excluded?

Hi!
We would be glad of welcoming that person to our church. We are not banned from wearing the cross, we don't use it because we want to celebrate Christ's life, but we have never ever been told not to wear the cross and if someone does, there is no reason to look down that person or something, everything will be totally fine. I think that the Born Again use the King James Bible as we do, so they are welcome to bring it with them because she/he will need it.
If that person comes to the bible study, and testifies for his/her baptism, we would be happy for that person because that person is a Christian like all of us and it's great that she/he has a testimony of it and feels good about it.
We teach in the name of Jesus Christ too, and everyone's decision is respected, they have free will anyways, and we wouldn't discriminate that, if it makes him/her happy, everything fine.
Yes, everyone who believes in Jesus and accept him as the savior is accepted and given a good welcome, same with those who doesn't believe and have not accepted him but at least have the desire.
Joseph Smith was a true prophet, if that person has questions about him, doesn't understand, etc... that person should pray and ask their concerns to the missionaries, the bishop or any other church member and as we don't worship Joseph Smith, if the person believes in Jesus they are Christian, there is nothing that could change that.
We are always encouraged to respect other people's beliefs, no matter what they are. And we are encouraged to happily welcome everyone in our church no matter the religion, race, sex, etc.. the same way and we are always happy to see other people come.
Hope this helped :)

The Born Again Christian would be welcomed with open arms
He/she would be welcome at the Bible Study. They would be gently persuaded that their baptism was not done with authority.
If he/she came into the church and tried to teach the Mormon members what they believed, they would be tolerated to an extent, but everyone would "know" they were misguided and hope they would "see the truth". He/she would be asked to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it to see if God would cause them to know of it's truth.
If they couldn't be persuaded, they would still be allowed to attend services, but not try to proselyte to the members. They would be considered to be investigators of the church and everyone would be very nice to them.
If they didn't eventually join, they would find themselves outnumbered and probably stop attending as they would want to go back to their own church of Born Agains. If they did join and still taught what would be the "false doctrine" of their own church, they would be excommunicated.
This happens frequently.
I am not a member of any organized religion, myself, but do believe in a higher power.

We welcome any person from any faith to attend our meetings. It would not bother us at all Most people would not be bothered by you wearing the cross, since that is how you believe. I used to know a gal who was a convert and she still had crosses in her home, I never heard any one say anything negative about it.
You would be welcome to come and participate as much as you want. However, if you start being contentious or trying to teach us doctrine that is contrary to our beliefs, someone- most likely a member of the bishopric would kindly ask you to stop. You see it is a matter of respect. No LDS person should come to one of your meetings and teach doctrine contrary to what you believe. Our missionaries don't do that. They seek out people at their homes and teach them. Most members would not have a problem with you simply proselyting door to door, but coming to our meetings with the purpose of teaching what we would consider false doctrine, simply would not be appropriate. I think Most people, LDS or not understand the basic concept of respect and tolerance. Coming to a religious meeting to teach different religious philosophies is simply not correct. Besides you would not get very far. We are all very converted in our beliefs, you would not succeed in convincing many people that you are correct.

No, it would not bother me at all. Any person is welcome to attend any of the church meetings held... infact, every church house has "Visitors Welcome" on the outside. It doesn't say "Mormons only".
We are taught to love all of God's children no matter what their religion, race, gender, whatever. Now, is anyone perfect? No, of course not, so I cannot say how any person would be treated. I would hope that my fellow church members would treat every person with respect and love as I would try to do also.

Like it says on many of our Churches, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints....Visitors Welcome. I served my mission in the South ( the Bible Belt) . People who came in to visit definitely had good comments I enjoyed them a lot. No matter of which bible they used, and of course we would want them to learn more about our Church, if I went to your Church wouldn't you want me to stay? The other questions are a bunch of nonsense, you sound like we would tar and feather you for coming into our church and stating your opinion. Kind of like people did to Joseph Smith for stating his. We accept anyone who wants to come in and enjoy the spirit that our Church has. But if a person came into my chapel and started to spread false doctrine and lies about our Church, and disrupting others, I would be the first to escort them out.

seems kind of antagonistic
BTW
Old English does not take long to understand and expands your mind into new ways of thinking, writing and speaking -- so I wouldn't brag about a "normal" English book
but you can use any bible you want and I too will not brag about being able to understand many forms of English.
