It means you don't believe in God. It's that simple.

I am not sure what an athiest is. Never heard the word before I started visiting R&S. I assume you mean an atheist.
A theist is someone who believes in God. An atheist is the opposite of a theist: someone who does not believe in God. It is not a religion.
Calling atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair colour.

None. There is no atheist religion. An atheist is someone who does not believe in God or a religion.

atheist
1571, from Fr. athéiste (16c.), from Gk. atheos "to deny the gods, godless," from a- "without" + theos "a god" (see Thea). A slightly earlier form is represented by atheonism (c.1534) which is perhaps from It. atheo "atheist."
"The existence of a world without God seems to me less absurd than the presence of a God, existing in all his perfection, creating an imperfect man in order to make him run the risk of Hell." [Armand Salacrou, "Certitudes et incertitudes," 1943]

Atheism is not a religion. It is a denial. They don't believe in God or gods. They don't
buy into religion or spirituality. This is the only life and when it is done they are gone they think. A Philosophy of Nothingness. Don't argue with them, they don't want to hear it but some will put others down for believing. They have chosen to turn their back on God and have no part of salvation.

Atheist is not a religion, it's a person who has a devout disbelief in God and considers
all religions to be hogwash. And all worshipers of such religious establishments to be brainwashed.
Atheism is their belief.

In short, it means that we have examined the current evidence about the existance of any gods, and have concluded that the evidence does not support there being one.
If there is new evidence someday that refutes what we know now, and is thorougly tested... then we can change our stance. But for now, there is none.

Atheism is the lack of a religion or similar faith, not a religion. Much like how 'nothing' is not anything, it's the LACK of anything.
