Jesus performed miracles to prove that he was the Son of God. So, he must have conceded that it was necessary to have proof to back his statements.
Today, we have no proof, only the word of others. Certainly, Jesus could have left undeniable proof that he was the Son of God. For example, he could have said, "Hundreds of years from now, great minds will find a number that provides the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, and they will create fantastic machines to calculate this number, and that number's millionth digit and the eight following it will be 285089233."
In the year 2007, we could verify that number and know that Jesus was truly the Son of God, for only one sent by the creator of the universe could hold such knowledge at such a time.
But if you tell this to a Christian, they say that such proof would leave no room for faith.
Yet Jesus Christ himself saw it necessary to perform miracles to prove himself.

So why did he not leave us undeniable proof?

Many people honestly believe that the ancestry of mankind has been mapped faithfully and nearly completely. They have heard about "missing links," and regard them as scientific proof for man's evolution from primates. However, in truth, no ancestor for man has ever been documented. The "missing links" are still missing. Here is a summary of facts relating to some of the most well known fossil discoveries.

Homo sapiens neanderthalensis (Neandertal man) - 150 years ago Neandertal reconstructions were stooped and very much like an 'ape-man'. It is now admitted that the supposedly stooped posture was due to disease and that Neandertal is just a variation of the human kind.
Ramapithecus - once widely regarded as the ancestor of humans, it has now been realized that it is merely an extinct type of orangutan (an ape).
Eoanthropus (Piltdown man) - a hoax based on a human skull cap and an orangutan's jaw. It was widely publicized as the missing link for 40 years.
Hesperopithecus (Nebraska man) - based on a single tooth of a type of pig now only living in Paraguay.
Pithecanthropus (Java man) - now renamed to Homo erectus. Australopithecus africanus - this was at one time promoted as the missing link. It is no longer considered to be on the line from apes to humans. It is very ape-like.
Sinanthropus (Peking man) was once presented as an ape-man but has now been reclassified as Homo erectus

Many times we are very busy parents doing our own thing, and our children sometimes seek our attention.
"What is it?" We asked irritably.... example.

I think we all been at this stage a few times, forgetting our place in the family. seems to happen more when something goes wrong, the job, bills, working on the house, stress or anything that keeps you busy.

Go ahead...feel free to use every possible adjective available. if you think that there is no existing adjective that can adequately describe it, feel free to make up an adjective yourself.

i find it amusing when they claim that it has power but logically(i know i said the cursed word for most theists) wouldn't an omniscient God already know you would pray so whats the point besides if God has a "divine plan"(like some Christians claim) would he change it for every pathetic being he created isn't Gods will in any case no matter how much you will pray

let's say that religion as a concept wasnt introduced to people until high school, when all the major branches of religion (Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, etc) were taught (not endorsed, just explained in principle) and you couldnt join a religion until you're 18 and legally an adult....

would there be more or less people following various faiths? would any religions die out, and what one do you think would be the biggest? would there be less religous conflicts in general?

just curious what everyone else thinks, thanks!

If you don't believe in something why bother spend time on it?
If you don't believe in the good of planting trees would you try to stop people doing it?
Is it because they are not really sure?
Is it because they fear something and look for Comrades?
Believers believe that if you make someone believe, you get a reward for that. What is the reward for the Atheists?
Is Atheism indeed a religion itself?
I really can't get it...

He came in the likeness of man, and died for our sins. His tomb is now empty, because OUR GOD IS RISEN!!! HE'S ALIVE!!!!. And if you're a child of God, you will be alive with Jesus forever.

I posted this earlier, but got such a great response, I thought I'd post it again.

Jesus said, “No one is good—except God alone.” (Mark 10:18) The human mind cannot comprehend the Divine Mind of God. We are not capable to understand everything about God. This is why we need to have faith that God know what’s best, even when it hurts. Usually when bad things happen to people, this draws use closer to God. The bible says, “Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. (2 Corinthians 1:9,10) God wants use to trust and turn to him. We do not have salvation without God. We are just a tool of God’s work. If we do something good, that does not mean we are good person. Our righteousness only comes from God, which works through us. We are guided with the Holy Spirit.

So we need to rephrase the question to, “why do good things happen to bad people?” The answer to this question is out of God’s love. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) Jesus died for us out of love for his creation.
