Yes, its about the spirituality one feels and not worshipping a religion. A religion is like similar to cult only that there are more people with religion. Worship God as you feel and don't worry about someone telling you otherwise. Best answer to someone who asks what religion are you? Non-denominational this way it shows you don't belong to one particular religion but you have spirituality and faith in God.

I refuse to accept a religion. I can't love God because I don't think you can have a relationship with someone who doesn't talk back to you. I just don't believe that a relationship is possible with God. As far as livng in God's way, do you mean have morals? Yes, I have morals, I'm not going to go out and kill someone or rob a store. I treat others with respect. I mean, you could say that I live by MOSTof the 10 commandments even though I don't accept religion.

Yes, if you define what you are refusing.
Scripture states that Jesus attended worship "as was his custom." Yet, Jesus condemned practice associated with worship; including the exchange of money, showmanship, the control of others, substitution of religious traditions for the word of God. Religion is further not faith; for faith is a human ability; not a set of ideas.
The first religious service ever held took place in Eden; after Adam and Eve sinned and separated from God. That service involved sewing together fig leaves to cover their nakedness. And that is what religion really is; a covering to make one presentable before God. Today that covering can be a personal effort and/or a demonic covering; a blanket of deception.
True religion is not my loving God or following some way. Rather it is God finding me and by faith, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, once again connecting heart to heart, as in the beginning.
Many have noted correctly that religion deals not only with worship but with community, custom, tradition, and mores; a social event, personal event and public position. Religion has thus become a means of political and social control of one individual or group over another. The clergy of this group or that group will show you the way to sew your fig leaves! They will even sell you fig leaves custom made!
Considering that religion is really a covering; the answer to your question is yes. Aside from a living connection with Christ Jesus; religions and ways must be refused where they present a covering, a wet blanket, that separates from God.
That does not mean one needs to forsake public worship. It does mean that public worship and religions never were and never can be a substitute for a personal meeting and a personal walk with the living God.

Jesus didnt accept his religion he shook them up so much they killed him. Budha went against the grain of those yogis in that forest too. They always crucify mystics.
Of course you can love God. DO YOU LOVE GOD? If you Love God then you love God what does that have to do with Ritual. Ritual is great. Humans need community. But God loves you if you light candles or not.

I agree with the first answer, Jesus is the only way to God, so don't allow the issue to be fudged by saying you believe in God. Even the demons believe in God but that doesn't mean they are going to heaven. Not trying to be judgmental, but I spent the first 28 years of my life believing in God, but I had believed in a god of my own making, not the God who truly is God. I was called by Jesus one day and the scales fell from my eyes. Ask God to reveal himself to you and he will.

First you must define love: A strong feeling - the desire to posses an object. A creation of the mind.
How can you love God when you cannot percieve him/her with your mind - you cannot love somebody that you cannot see or feel or touch? Unless ofcourse you are delusional.
You are obviously living in "FEAR" of an idea of a SUPER POWER somewhere in space who is trying to manage your life! Come on ... get real ... even if a God exists it is unlikely that he will waste his time dealing with people like you and me! He will probably write a GENETIC or SOFTWARE CODE and let it run its course.

First you have to understand that we don't know God's way. No religion is right. The closest thing you can do to be true to god is to follow your conscience. Every religion is the "ONLY true religion". Every religion has some one who has had conversations with the almighty and HE told them they were right. Forget about them. Follow your heart and everything is unimportant.

What is your definition of religion?
God says that pure and undefiled religion is to visit orphans and widows in their time of need and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
To be a Christian by definition is to be a follower of Christ rather than be part of a "religion". However, one should fellowship with other believers and not try to "go it alone".

Religion simply means your faith or belief in your God (Jehovah). It's not about going to church,
Christians are the church and the church is in the heart.
If you show love to God and truly live in his ways you are already in his religion.
It's very good to go to church (a place for worship) at anytime to learn more about our God and how to live in his ways.

Yes. If you haven't noticed, religions are that which is created by men who put themselves up on pedestals and tell everyone you need "them" to get to heaven, when in FACT "no" man is intelligent enough in celestial knowledge to intercede on another's behalf FOR they have never been to heaven and are not FROM there. Only the Lord in heaven can TEACH righteousness and in his "Son," he made it clear that he would give his faithful a "Comforter" to instruct them in the ways of heaven ON "earth." Religions TEACH that which is of "secular" knowledge as "assumed" TRUE, but the holy spirit only TEACHES that which is celestial knowledge and of heaven's TRUTHS.....
