Jesus performed miracles to prove that he was the Son of God. So, he must have conceded that it was necessary to have proof to back his statements.
Today, we have no proof, only the word of others. Certainly, Jesus could have left undeniable proof that he was the Son of God. For example, he could have said, "Hundreds of years from now, great minds will find a number that provides the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, and they will create fantastic machines to calculate this number, and that number's millionth digit and the eight following it will be 285089233."
In the year 2007, we could verify that number and know that Jesus was truly the Son of God, for only one sent by the creator of the universe could hold such knowledge at such a time.
But if you tell this to a Christian, they say that such proof would leave no room for faith.
Yet Jesus Christ himself saw it necessary to perform miracles to prove himself.

So why did he not leave us undeniable proof?

the truth is if Jesus showed up at most peoples doorstep and made a blind man see ect. on national tv most people would deny it happend. they dont want to admit that God made them there for he owns them. its faith that seperates the sons of God from unbelievers.

Jesus as man was filled with the Holy Spirit and led by the Holy Spirit, all the miracles he performed were because of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is full of Scripture written by men of God led by the Holy Spirit. These men wrote of things to come, some of them didn't have any idea of what they were writting, because what they were putting in the scriptures wasn't going to happen for several hundreds of years, they couldn't figure out or foresee what it could be. The only thing they knew was that God the Holy Spirit told them to write it. Jesus didn't have to prove he was the son of God. It was foretold hundreds of years before Christ would even be born. In the Garden of Eden. God told Satan Genesis 3:19 And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed it shall bruise your head and you shall bruise His heel. And an Angel spoke to Mary and told Mary that she shall have a son and his name would be Jesus. He would be the Saviour. The Holy Spirit breath on Mary and made Mary with Child. The Son of God. The Angel told the 3 wise men in the field, unto you a Saviour is born His name is Jesus, Follow the north star and there you will find your King. Tell everyone that Christ your Saviour has been born. There is undeniable proof throughout the Bible from beginning to end, not to mention the proof that lies within all believers heart and lives. What more proof would one need. The only ones that seem to need proof are the unbelievers, because believers have there proof.

He did leave us undeniable truth. In the Old Testament there are 60 major prophesies and about 270 ramifications that were fulfilled in the person and only the person of Jesus Christ. Now lets just take 8 prophesies and thru the modern science of probability determine the odds that only one man could fulfill just 8 prophesies . The odds are only 1 chance in 100,000,000,000,000,000. That is like taking 100,000,000, 000,000,000 silver dollars and laying them across the state of Texas . They would cover the whole state and be 2 feet thick. Now put a mark on one of those silver dollars and mix them all up. Blindfold a man and tell him to wander around the state of Texas and find the right one. The odds that he could find it on the first try are 1/100,000,000, 000,000,000. Now if Jesus only fulfilled 8 those are the same odds . It is a mathematical certainty that Jesus is the Son od God by just 8 fulfilled prophesies. He fulfilled 330 of them ! What more undeniable proof could one ask for?

Faith was necessary before the incarnation of Christ, and faith is necessary after.

That's only fair.

Jesus performed miracles in order to fulfill all that was written about him in the old testament books of the law, the prophets, and the psalms.

And since those writings contain over 1000 prophetic images and verses, compiled over a period of some 1500 years, and they were completed at least 250 years before Jesus walked the earth, the perfect fulfilment of those prophecies constitutes the undeniable proof you are looking for.

That is a good question... You will see that quite a few "Christians" will tell you that it is faith and they believe blindly and more than likely you will be ridiculed severely for even asking a question like this!

Here's the story: Jesus was not a psychic nor did he need to give specifics like you are asking. Jesus was a prophet. If you remember, the Bible says we are all Sons and Daughters of God. Unfortunately, a good many Christians forget that. Jesus was "tapped" to send a message of morality to humans, although he was a human himself. He "may" have performed miracles, however, much of the Bible was written by people who wanted to make sure other people followed the teachings, so it is possible that the miracles were fabricated or even exagerated. I am not saying they didn't happen, but to hear that this great man did such great things, wouldn't that make it that much more believable?

But to reiterate, Jesus was not a Nostradamus, He was a teacher of Morality.

I don't believe that Jesus performed miracles to prove that He was the Messiah. I believed He performed miracles because it was His Father's will and He did so out of compassion and because of the individuals faith. If you read any of the Gospel accounts of His miracles you will see these aspects of His miracle present. For instance the woman who had been ill for many years believed that if she could only touch the hem of His garment she would be healed, and she was. Likewise the centurion with the ill child believed that Jesus had only to say the word and his child would be healed, and the child was healed. You remind me of St. Thomas who when the resurrected Jesus appeared to him said, " Unless I can put my fingers in your wounds I won't believe." Jesus let Him do this and St. Thomas said, My Lord and my God." Jesus replied, " Blessed are those who believe without seeing."

You're right that Jesus performed miracles to prove that He was the Son of God. Back then it was to prove he wasn't a false prophet. All of His works and His life were recorded in the Bible -- written by different men, but INSPIRED by God.

Proof is a concept from science ("to know"). All science is govern by the scientific method. This method tells how to create scientific theories that explains scientific facts. A scientific fact is an observation of men independent of location.

Now tell me about your scientific facts. You have four accounts but no scientific facts. And no scientific theory.

You have four accounts which you may or may believe. But it is on faith/believe (two English words that describe one Greek word) that brings one to God.

Jesus perform miracles to support his teachings so that they would believe (not prove).

Answer: If you want proof, there is none. You can not applied the scientific method to revelation. Unfortunately, that leaves the four accounts and that requires faith.

Your question reminds me of the parable of the rich man and Lazarus as told in Luke 16:19-31. In the parable, the rich man dies and goes to hell. He can see across the divide into Abraham's bosom where Lazarus went when he died. The rich man asks that Abraham would send Lazarus to the rich man's five brothers so that Lazarus could testify to them so that they wouldn't have to go to hell. Abraham said to him, "They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them." The rich man says, "Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent." To which Abraham replies, "If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."

I think the point is that if you are not willing to be persuaded by what proof there is, then you won't accept any further proof either. I believe that is why there isn't "undeniable proof." In your eyes, there would never be undeniable proof.

The Bible is proof if you take the time to read it, it says in Revelation the signs of the world coming to an end, you may not be here for that so i guess when you day, seeing Jesus face to face will be proof enough.

That is true, Christ showed His power as the Son of God through mighty signs and wonders.

It is the duty of every Christian to tell you of those marvelous things Christ did...

Romans 1 says that God's creation is enough to point that there is a Creator, if God is powerful which we believe He is the it is simple thing to make His own authobiography and preserve it.

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Now it is the work of the Holy Spirit to convict you of your sins...

Hebrews 11 says God rewards those who have faith for the the things not seen.
