I agree this space is for all.... But why all the put downs and anger ??

I guess my age is showing..... but , I feel so sorry for a lot of you...... Christian or not...... the put downs, the anger...... What good is it doing ? Does it make you feel any better to put people in a box ??? I know there are good and bad people out there.... I know who God is...... I know what He is NOT !!!! I am a person of faith...... does that make me a member of some kill factory ??? When you make fun , or take your anger out on people, say for instance the Christian people, does that make you better than them ?? You are doing AND being just what YOU accuse US of being........ *sigh*....... God bless

sorry if you feel *tired* of this claim..... but , If this does not refer to you then dont answer the way I do..... and, if you are *thinking* it is sarcasim then you are right , in some cases it is, but others it is just down right anger..... read some of the *anger* ones before you speak.......

and for those who say *religion* promotes the bed stuff.... you are confusing *religion* with true faith...... and that is what I am *tired of*......

That’s EXACTLY right Annie!! I agree! People get so angry and critical with others who don’t believe in their faiths and doctrines and religions…etc..etc…and that should be stopped. Everyone has their own opinions and beliefs and I do respect everyone just as God made them, but I do agree with you that we must stop lashing our anger on others, because anger will take them away from God rather than drawing them closer to God’s word and His love.

And also, Annie, I perfectly agree that people are confusing ‘religion’ with ‘God’s Word’ (the true faith, as you have put it)! We should all come back to that ‘old time religion’ (as the song goes) that God had first established in the book of Acts and cast away all our creeds as well as our anger towards others who don’t believe. We should just pray for them to understand the truth rather than fight and argue with them!! Thankyou for bringing this out…I totally agree with you!

I have to agree with you.. So much anger here on Yahoo answers. I think people should believe what they want or not believe if that is their choice, but to push and make fun of others, to put down and get critical of others is too much. I believe many that have nothing but insults to share are those in much pain in their personal lives, so they take it out on others.

I visited NYC a few months ago and visited John Lennons memorial in Central Park.. Do you know what it says?

History holds the answer. Religion is the cause of most of this worlds wars. Oddly enough, religion promotes discrimination. Look at this latest press release from the pope: "catholicism is the only way to get to heaven". This means that the majority of people will not make it to heaven. This is discrimination without provocation. For those that do not realize, discrimination without provocation is pure meanness. The religious would call it "evil"

I agree with the person who asked the question. If I can't be helpful to someone, I am not going to answer their question. Being ugly, accusing, and sarcastic are not really suitable on this site. Respect for others' beliefs seems to be severely lacking. Let's try to be more considerate. We can pray for the ones who seem to be so unhappy and who want others to be unhappy with them. gee, sorry to offend you but the Christians who answer my questions too often do so with lots of sarcasm and don't even answer my question, they go off on some nonsense and then quote bible passages even when I specifically ask them their own opinion, not the bible's, which makes it abundantly clear that they can't think for themselves.

Not to mention the fact that the christian god slaughtered hundreds of thousands of pagans in the biblical times and how many thousands of Witches were burned and hanged and tortured during the Burning Times?

NO, you weren't among those who slaughtered. But you are among those who try to "save" me and mine and I resent it. It doesn't make me better than you, that you are a Christian and I am not. It makes me a person who has escaped from the tyranny of the brainwashing and you have not, and for that, I feel so sorry or you!

See what you consider put downs allot of the time we consider this crazy idea called the truth. See if I say you are brainwashed then that is not a put down. It's just the way it is. From what I've seen the christians find the truth the most insulting thing they read.

sometimes it's sarcasm, not anger. not everything is caused by anger; i'm so tired of people making this claim for no reason.

EDIT: for your information, i tend to read almost all of the answers to all of the questions that interest me. VERY FEW tend to fall into the anger section you are talking about. judging by the tone of your answer, it seems as though anger may be getting the best of you.

also, sometimes questions can be insulting. in those cases, i think people have a right to be angry, don't you?

I had some church people curse me earlier cause I asked a question about whether Jesus went up with just the clothes he had on.

I get questions deleted, I get violation notices, I get church folks calling me 'goon' or whatever -- and I don't do any of that stuff.

It doesn't bother me that much, I just make sure I don't get drawn into it.

Its funny that I receive hate mail attacking my person, yet I've never sent messages attacking another user. There are things going on behind the scene that are not exactly obvious.
