The first verse states something like "no height, no depth, no things to come and such can separate us from the love of God" and the other verse is often referred to as the "Love Chapter" where it talks about true love. Anybody know where I can find these verses would be a big help, thank you very much and God bless.

Look up these verses:

- Exodus 35:2 – God demands that we kill everyone who works on the Sabbath day.
- Deuteronomy 21:18-21 – God demands that we kill disobedient teenagers.

- Leviticus 20:13 – God demands the death of homosexuals.

- Deuteronomy 22:13-21 – God demands that we kill girls who are not virgins when they marry.

And so on… There are lots of verses like these.
It doesn't make any sense, does it? Why would a loving God want us to murder our fellow human beings over such trivial matters? Just because you work on the wrong day of the week, you must die? That makes no sense, does it? In fact, if you think about it, you realize that it is insane. So you create some kind of rationalization to explain these verses.

Apparently God of the Bible likes to send messages. In olden days when the typical message was transmitted by messenger, God used a messenger.

However, today typical messages are sent via email. It seems like an omnipotent God could function at least as well as the spam generators in Nigeria. Sadly, they run rings around God in getting messages out to the masses.

So if God exists, where's the email from God?

Look up these Bible verses:

- Exodus 21:20-21 – God says that it is OK to own slaves, and it is also OK to beat them.
- Colossians 3:22-24 – Slaves need to obey their masters.

- Ephesians 6:5 – Slaves need to obey their masters just as they would obey Christ.

- 1 Peter 2:18 – Slaves need to obey their masters, even if their masters are harsh .

And so on…
And why do all intelligent people abhor slavery and make it completely illegal? You have to come up with some kind of weird rationalization to explain it.

I will never understand why you feel like you have to tell us to repent becaue we dont' believe in Christ. NEWS FLASH The actual name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon work hand in hand to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of love, peace, tolerance, kindness, forgivness, etc... Isn't it ok for us to preach these things. Or do you people who have no real set of beliefs think its ok to live your life as cruel, heartless, mean individuals?? Even if you don't agree with it we arn't trying to make you and if you don't want to hear it, don't listen and don't ask and don't leave rude comments under questions about the Mormon religion. Ask yourself this, if it really wasn't true. Why would so many people be working so hard to keep people from learning it???? Makes you think huh??

I just read a question where some twisted sicko perv, had the nerve to accuse women of CAUSING sexual harassment, and attacks! This brain dead freak tried to put the blame on women for dressing nice. Doesn't that piece of human vomit know that it's the men that do this stuff who are to blame? It doesn't matter how a lady dresses, or if she's wearing makeup to a predator. A lady should be able to walk around in nothing but a thong and not be bothered. Jerks like that are at the upper end of the same group as the garbage who mistreat women. Yes, I'm a guy.. yes, I love looking at beautiful women.. yes, if I do something I should not, it is my own dang fault! Any disgusting piece of trash who would even hint that a lady is at fault because some SOB can't keep his head straight, should be castrated along with the rest of the pervs. Idiots like that make the rest of us country boys look bad. Anybody care to argue with that?!

You know, you'd think that this phrase that we were taught in school would have a more valid base. When this letter was written by Thomas Jefferson in 1802 to the Danbury Baptists, he wasn't talking about keeping God out of politics. He was talking about making sure that we never went to the extent of claiming one religion as the state or countries religion. He knew that if the government did this, we would be no better off that the Quakers and other religious were in England and other countries. Jefferson had said: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ."; ie., he meant that there should be no set religion for our country. Think of it this way. Thomas Jefferson was a Christian, and so were the other founding fathers. When they went to work on the Constitution they prayed for guidance. So why would he would he leave God out of politics, when God was a prime factor in the Constitution's creation and design.

I'm totally happy for that and can't wait until Sunday, I really need the blessing to shape and organize my life and I feel blessed to have the opportunity of having it. I feel a little stressed but mainly happy at the same time. I've asked about this many times, I've got information here, from the missionaries, from my bishop and from another real life LDS friend. But I always think that there is something else to know and more tips to hear. Duh! i will fast anyways because it will be the first Sunday of the month.

Tell me whatever can help! were you nervous too right before getting it?

Is it true that the patrialcal will interview me again? (my friend just told me but she said that it doesn't happen all the times).

I'm nervous in an anxious way. Can I ask things to the patrialchal while doing it?
