Awesome news Sister!
I remember getting my patriarchal blessing and the Spirit was so strong I literally felt Him in the room. There have only been two times I've felt the Holy Ghost that strong. During my blessing and when I blessed my son and gave him a name. Don't you worry one bit, the patriarch will take care of it you just sit reverently

Congradulations!
Remeber to relax - there's nothing whatsoever that you need to be afraid or nervous about (excited, though - that's another story! :-) ) . Getting one's Patriarchal Blessing is always a really awsome experience.
Pray that morning before you go to church, and let the Lord know that you're really excited to find out what He wants for you. Ask Him to help you through the day.
There's no formal interview with the Patriarch, though he may chat with you for a little bit, and you can always feel free to bring up any questions with him you might have before he starts.
What's really cool about mine is that there were things in it that seemed rathar odd at the time, but now make perfect sense many years later, and it helps strenghten my testimony; the Patriarch who gave it to me and I have had literally no other contact outside of when I set up the appointment the week before I got my blessing (I'd been wanting to get it for some time, and as it turned out, like the week after I had my interview with my bishop, the stake Patriarch was one of the speakers in Sacrament Meeting, and I set up the appointment with him after Sacrament Meeting was over), the day I got my blessing (one week later), and when I got the two copies of my blessing in the mail a short time after that; some of the things in it were on issues I hadn't even been aware of at the time and were some time away from occuring (we're talking on the order of years, here), and so there's no way the patriarch could have known those on his own (admittedly, the main thing on my mind by far was which Tribe I'm from, which didn't even come up until most of the way through; typed out, it's at the bottom of the first page of an aprox. page and a half blessing).
So when the time comes Sunday, take a deep breath, and remember what you're there for! (Also remember the Lord loves you!)

When I met with the Patriarch, it was more like a chat than a formal ecclesiastical interview. He was really grandfatherly and just the sweetest man. And he said stuff that made my non-Mormon father feel really good. It was just a great experience.
You have no reason to be nervous. Your blessing is a gift from our Father in Heaven. You know that He loves you and that He wants you to be happy. And your blessing will be His words. There is not one person alive who is perfect. Just keep being who you are, doing good and do fast. That really does help you feel closer to the Lord.
Have a wonderful Sunday. We will be taking some investigators to church with us.

When I recieved my blessing, it was one of the most beautifuly spoken words I've ever heard. I've read it nearly every night since getting (in may) and it truly is a blessing. You can feel your heart just beat towards truth and know that the Lord works in his own ways. I don't really know what to tell ya besides fasting and praying! What I did was fast the day before and the day of, I studied the Book of Mormon and the D&C. Pray to the Lord for guidance and understanding. Oh ya, it may be a smart idea to take some tissues with you, lol ya know, just in case! Also, as you already know, keep it sacred! The words are meant for you! But just relax and you'll be just fine!! It truly is a wonderful experience!!
Also, you can't really talk to the patriarch because he's in prayer form, just listen to the words he speaks and know it comes from the Lord. And he won't interview you again, he didn't re-interview me

Fasting and praying more than just your usual first sunday of the month. Make sure you just invite the spirit to be with you the entire day so that when you go in you will remember as much of it as you can. You, of course, will recieve a copy to keep forever and share with who you feel it is appropriate. But as for asking him things while he is admistering the blessing. No. It jsut like anyother preisthood blessing. He lays his hand on your head and he will tell you what tribe you are from and all kinds of neat things!!! I totally love my patriarchal blessing!!! I read it all the time. My hubby is in the military so I read his a lot too just to reassure my self that he will come home. ANd remember you only recieve the promised blessings if you live righteously!!! Good luck!!

A patriarchal blessing is simply a prayer so you will not be able to ask questions at that time. I don't belive there will be any sort of interview immediately beforehand - but probably small talk. That will be your chance to ask any questions.
It's an important day for you, but relax. Fasting and prayer will help you invite the Spirit and help you be at peace.
It's very exciting. I wish you the best! : )

Dress as if you were going to church. I fasted and prayed a day before. I wasn't fasting when I got my PB. My Patriarch didn't interview me very much. We discussed that my parents were apart and where I was born. He recorded my name, birthdate and place of birth on a cassette tape and then we each had a prayer. After that he took the phone off the hook and then gave me the Patriarchal Blessing. I was very scared.

All you really need to do is fast and pray. Also read a couple or scriptures before you go. Also when you get there just try to pay attention sometimes you try to read into it too much and forget some important stuff that the patriarch is saying. Good luck and have fun. Its really exciting to find out who you come from.

No preparation is needed, and there will be no interview.
If you feel you need to prepare, then do it by living a Christ-like lifestyle before and after the blessing.
You didn't ask this part, but it's the most important:
---------------------
After the blessing, do your life justice and live as a magnificent example of Christ's teachings!
