To any fellow Jewish people who may be reading this. What does it mean to be Jewish to you and why?, I just found out that i'm adopted and that my maternal parents were Jewish, I would love to know from others what being Jewish means to them and how that has changed your life if you where to say you were a Christian or Muslim etc. Thank you.

Most Christians I've known in my life believed they had an obligation to enforce by any means available, their own views on morality.

For instance, a Christian who felt strongly about the use of illegal drugs would, after a lot of hand wringing and soul searching, would regretfully turn a marijuana-smoking friend in to the police.

In fact, if they believed the person had enough in possession to rate a jail term, they'd consider it a moral duty to help the cops set their friend up for a felony bust.

Have I got this wrong? Were the Christians I've seen do this 'real' Christians, or the 'other' kind of Christians?

-I have eternal pardon from my transgressions because of my imaginary friend who forgives me
-I can do whatever I want and just say that I am sorry and then it's like it never happened
-I have a set of rules that I hold everyone else to except for myself
-When I feel like having fun, I totally disregard the laws that I usually advocate. Then afterwards, I deny that I broke any of my own laws. Yet I still condemn others for breaking these same laws.
-When my label gets in the way, I shed my label and do all the things that I am not supposed to according to the rules that go along with wearing that label. When I can gain favor from my label, then I proudly wear it.
-I like to use guilt manipulation
-I like to slander people
-I don’t use logic
-I am an elitist
-I wish for all people who don’t have the same label as me to burn in the torture zone when they die
-I am saved (?)
-I am going to the pleasure dome when I die because my imaginary friend will take me there

ie... like asking an atheist to prove God doesn't exist. But, you can prove a negative can't you? Don't mathmeticians prove negatives all the time? (ie... someone says the number 3 is not even, to prove it they say 3 equals 2x1+1, by definition therefore, it is proven NOT to be even, so a negative is proven). What say you?

Is there divine intervention, or is it just some random chemical processes? To make life from non-life is God's teritory in my opinion.

If Yahoo! Answers were a religion......let's assume:

The Yamster is worshipped.

Those who are faithful to the Yamster, when they die, will descend into the Yamster cage, where they are seated at a computer terminal to the right of the Yamster.

Those who are sinners, and receive violations, may appeal the violation notice, and will be forgiven. If not, they go straight to Yahell.

Commandments: See Yahoo! Answers Terms and Conditions.

Ten Disciples: Ten top answerers.

So: what am I missing? Can you think of anything else?

It seems like, with all the telescopes and technology searching for Near Earth Asteroids we would have spotted a planet sized object headed for our planet. Is it possible that Planet X is just a way to imply a disaster or catalyst of change with cosmic origin?

Im a Christian, and evolution was disproved even before it was made up. In 1668, Francisco Redi disproved spontaneous generation by covering up rotten meat because people back then thought maggets came from it. Evolutionists believe that organisms spontaneously generated from goo, but its already been proven wrong

I don't know how to put it well but do you often feel greatful just for the existence of everything a planet to live on in a huge universe that exists, I am kind of greatful to the universe do you have feelings like this and were do you attribute them?

I know this isn't far off a drinking Q but I am seriously interested.

I mean, of course the Bible obviously have to say something against atheism or other religions/gods, the Bible have to be bias to promote Christianity, duh....Just like the bias analogy of asking Hitler to define Jews.

Sometimes, I think Psalm 14.1 is popular because it allows some Christians to call atheists "fools".

had yet appeared, who is the "us". Gen 1:26 Can't be Jesus because there had to be people (Mary) to give birth to him.

Also, if God created humans, who created God. Where did he come from? Are there others like him? Is this the "us" the Bible speaks about?

Not that it matters but I’ve heard speculation there’s more.
If there’s more what is it and what does one do to develop toward it, if anything.
Thank you for your answers beforehand.
