To me, there is always the question of, 'be intervening, am i likely to do more harm than good?'
If I confess to my partner, am I going to do our relationship harm, or good?
If I stick my nose in, will I do more harm than good by telling what I perceive to be The Truth.' ?
I think the better question is, 'Is there Morality in Subjecting Others to your Morality'?
However well intended, the answer is NO.
If you attempt this, then you have given to these Others the equal 'Right' to attempt to subject you to their moral codes ~
because it was YOU who 'Opened the Door' in the first place on this game ~
and, you might just find the other guy wields the BIGGER stick too.

Christians who do what the Bible teaches don't turn people into the police for using marijuana. If the person is a Christian then they follow this passage.
Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
If the person refuses to repent then they follow this passage.
Matthew 18:15 "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
The get thrown out of the church until they repent. If the person is not a Christian then since the "crime" is not hurting another person they follow this passage.
1 Thessalonians 4:9 Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another, 10 for that indeed is what you are doing to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more, 11 and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, 12 so that you may live properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.
In other words, they mind their own business and pray for the person to come to Christ and live a changed life.

That's a great set of morals you have. Trying to make it seem like the Christian is doing something wrong, when in fact it's the drug user who is breaking the law. It someone turns another person in, maybe they did it to actually help that person. A Christian is someone who believes in Jesus as The Christ, not a narc or a snitch. I've never known a Christian who believes in enforcing morality by any means possible.

You are comparing moral authoritarian Christians with
moral libertarian Christians. This morality battle is worldwide; and also many other religionists, such as stern justice Islamics, are involved.
A good Christian might first warn his/her friend that smoking pot is illegal, and they must quit or be put in jail. Then, if this pot smoker still smokes, that person should be turned in to the police.
Worse would be an Islamic turning that pot smoker into the local "Ayatolyah So"; (ha ha) and then very serious things would fast happen to that pot smoker.
It is a sin to knowingly pollute your body and mind with junk.

I'm a Christian and I smoke pot. Just because something is "illegal" doesn't make it wrong in the eyes of God. The real crime is a crime against nature: making the plant illegal and profiting off of it. That is the real crime here. Marijuana is a plant created by God and he knew what it was going to be used for before he created it. And anyone who has a problem smoking it can eat it. God has given us all of the green plants of the earth to use for food. There is nothing wrong with smoking marijuana. Nothing at all. I believe Jesus Christ is Lord.

Live and let live, If it's against your moral code to have a friend who does drugs and you can't get them to stop then don't hang around them, It's that simple. If I had a so called christian friend who turned me in to the cops for anything he better start praying real hard before my release date. Anyways your in that gray area, mans law versus gods law. What if a christian kept bugging me to become a christian and wouldn't stop, could I send them to jail for harrasment or get a restraining order on them because they're breaking mans law?

Christians are taught in their scriptures not to judge others.
They are also taught to treat others as they themselves would wish to be treated.
It might also be worthwhile to note how many priest, preachers and religious persons are showing up in the news for their very questionable activities often of an "immoral" nature (Jim and Tammy Baker, Jimmy Swaggart, a whole lot of Catholic priest and some bishops in the United States and Europe, religious person of other mythological systems, etc.)
Perhpas it is best for each one to choose to live in the manner that he or she honestly feels is best whle trying to do as little harm to all others and the rest of existance as possible.

Think about it would you tell your friend honestly that you will turn them into the police?
Instead you will go behind their back.
You should tell them how strongly you feel, be serious and honest if that is how you feel. Or do not call them friend.

well we are suppose to tell you about Jesus and what he can do for us and so on but if that person doesn't want to follow then we are suppose to just shrug our shoulders and keep walking the bible says so. as far turning someone in I would never do that. I would let it be.
