had yet appeared, who is the "us". Gen 1:26 Can't be Jesus because there had to be people (Mary) to give birth to him.

Also, if God created humans, who created God. Where did he come from? Are there others like him? Is this the "us" the Bible speaks about?

Early Hebrew people believed in a multitude of gods and Yahweh was to be held higher than the others. Look to the first commandment. It does NOT refer to false gods as Christians now claim. It means exactly what it says. Thou shall have no OTHER GODS before me.

The "us" and "our" is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

God became flesh. That is Jesus so...

In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. Thus Jesus was around long before Mary was.

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 8:58

There is nothing else like Him and no one created him. The laws of the natural universe the one we exist in don't apply to the supernatrual.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Col. 1:15-18

** Who the "us" is in "Let us make man in our image". Since neither Jesus nor the Holy Ghost had yet appeared, who is the "us". Gen 1:26 **

Gen 1:26 And God said , Let us make man in our image after our likeness...

Us is the objective case of we. Example: They took us to the circus and we had fun. In other words more than one did the taking and they had fun at the circus.

This more than one (us) is even confirmed in the supporting
" our likeness" comment.

This verse appears to say woman was an afterthought. Only created later after it was discovered that it was not good for man to be alone. There is no mention of Yashua (Jesus) or the Holy Ghost in any of the early Genesis passages.

The us in this biblical framework is Yahweh and the heavenly host (Angels/Sons of God).

Well believe it or not it was Jesus only He wasn't know as that then. And it was the Holy Ghost. it is rather confusing I admit, but here it is. God is three entities in one being. Because He is Trinity God. Mind you not three gods but One God. Jesus was born to Mary in flesh. Before then He was spirit like the Father and the Holy Ghost.

God was never created. He was and always will be. It's hard for us to understand how something can always be. We understand time as a beginning and a end, but if God created time that means He is technically outside of it. Time has no existence to Him. He understands it and can measure it, but is not restricted by it. A very difficult concept.

Good question.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit, with the Father are one God, who always existed and will always continue to. Read the first chapter of John's gospel to know more about Jesus as the eternal word of God.

In many eastern countries even today, male members of higher ranks, those from royal families, etc. speak of themselves as "we" and "us" -- as a higher authority. This has been a practice for centuries, particularly in the east.

Before any humans ever existed there was God Known as Jehovah or Yahweh in hebrew.

The first of Gods living creation was Micheal later on earth to be known as Jesus Christ

Jehovah and Michael (Jesus) worked together as a father and son to create all the angels in heaven, then the planets and earth.
The most wonderful of all their creation together was mankind
Adam
Which made all the angels in heaven rejoice in applause.

Jesus was also known as the "master worker" at gods right hand.

Actually, you are wrong about Jesus - he did exist prior to his birth. The bible makes that quite clear. It also says "through him all things were made", so we know for certain that Jesus was present at the time of creation.

God, of course, existed before anything else. An eternal being, by definition, has no beginning. He has *aways* existed.

Good question. Jesus says of Himself; "Now, Father, give me glory in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world existed". John 17:5. He was there from the beginning. So was also, the Holy Ghost. This is who "Us" is.

God has always been. This is what He says; "...for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me" (Isaiah 46:9).

God bless

The bible is based on ancient Sumer. The ancient writings give the whole story while the bible highlights some of the events. The us in the bible is the elohim, or plural for gods. Let we, the gods make man is what it really says. There was once a race of "gods" and they created humans by mixing their sperm with the egg of an indigenous earth female.
