Abiogenesis is not evolution, the idea of spontaneously generation(man from dust)...i believe originated from christian beliefs. Hmnm, kinda Ironic to blame something ignorant like that to evolution?

Why do "Christians" automatically think that they are right every time even though they aren't back by facts?
Your example is a classic Creationist talking point, which has already been refuted. You don't understand what you're talking about. You think Evolution has been disproved because you haven't the slightest idea what Evolution actually SAYS, so you just make stuff up.

Dear Edward, you might find it helpful to take even a basic science course as your lack of knowledge and understanding is staggering.
Maggots are the larvae of insects. IN the grander scheme of things, they help to break down and dispose of many different types of substances and matter. (No spontaneous generation there!)
There is also a tremendous amount of verifiable and reliable eveidence which proves evolution.
During your studies (at least this one hopes you eventualy study and learn), you might enjoy reading Darwin's "The Origin of the Species", as you don't seem to have a clue as to what Darwin proposed (which, sadly seems all too common among Christains).
Ignorance (nor stupidity) is not "blessed".. If you do believe in god, then honor that which you believe in by utilizing to the fullest the marvelous gift of intelligence and reasoning which your "creator" endowed you with. (Your head should be mpre than a hat rack.)
May it all be well with you.

The spontaneous generation that Pasteur and others disproved was the idea that life forms such as mice, maggots, and bacteria can appear fully formed. They disproved a form of creationism. There is no law of biogenesis saying that very primitive life cannot form from increasingly complex molecules.
Why do christians think they understand science better than actual scientists in the field they're criticizing?
I've never seen pagans, buddhists or wiccans do that.

er except evolution doesn't say that
evolution doesn't deal with the origins of life just how it came to be what it is now after it had started. You seem to be confusing it with abogensis which is something completely different. Although Id ont think maggots springing up on rotten meat prove it wrong either.
So apologise for spreading misinformation

I think you are probably just a kid so I'll try to go easy.
Life evolving from amino-acids is not totally provable by scientific standards but to you or me it is an absolute fact.
Evolution on a small scale has been physically observed many times already; for example, a small river that split in two after a heavy storm separated the same variety of trout, but after about 20-25 years the trout in each river had already adapted to their different environments, changing in color, size and shape.
A clearer example is that of flightless birds: They have wings, but they do not use them to fly: they have adapted to living on the ground and their wings have become almost redundant, and only used for display or to ward off predators.
I know it's hard to accept evolution when you want to believe in the teachings of the Bible, but you have to come to terms with facts and incorporate them into your beliefs.

All the experiment demonstrated is that life doesn't commonly arise. That favors common descent (evolution).
Evolution never addressed origin-of-life which is a separate issue. Abiogenesis was not proven impossible by showing that flies have to land on meat for maggots to form.

Maggots "coming from" the meat was never thought to be evolution.
And you're right, the idea that the meat generated the maggots itself was proven wrong. By a scientist. Irnoic, eh?
Evolution is something totally different. If you really want to know what it is, try looking up factual articles and *gasp* do your own research and think for yourself. Then make your conclusion.

Who fed you that information? If you did yourself I would suggest picking up more than just what you read followed by twisting it lol. Those that believe in the bible only have faith and repeat the same old classic "it says so in the bible" oh not to mention "because god said so (you guys who actually use that as proof need to have those voices in your head checked out). LOL at iraqisax he's just making it up as he goes along just like the original poster. Should be noted we do not have dogmatic beliefs tisk tisk. See told ya god is a mental disease religion is the more deadly mental illness.

Are you serious?I thought people like you died out during the dark ages and that is where you belong,in the ignorant days before scientific fact and enlightenment. What is spontaneous generation?Get back in your time machine to take you back to where you belong in 1666.

Your example in no way disproves evolution. My tailbone and appendix are common examples of evolution. Cool huh! Science you can touch!
If you still don't believe, then you were obviously high when you walked past the neanderthal exhibit at the museum.
ROTFL Zero Cool. I love that video. That idiot chose penut butter - A commodity that has such a high salt content that nothing could live in it, not to mention that the original item was smashed to bits until it was nice and creamy.
