a question to the effect of "Why do you care what theist believe,if you dont believe in God?"

is the overiding answer generally is becuase theist beliefs have an affect on you when we try to put them into the legal system.

Question:Does it occur to you that when you force atheistic type laws into the legal system, that has an effect on theist lives as well? My guess is your response is something like "no,my beliefs are my beliefs and your beliefs your beliefs;and we dont affect each other".
If that is your response, then you would be flat wrong. The fact that you dont like theistic beliefs in the legal system and in your lives, shows at least in part that you agree with the answer to Cain's question to God "Am I my brother's keeper?" The answer is yes;becuase what one does can affect many and what many do can affect one.
In short, dont be deceived in thinking atheistic beliefs have no affect on theist and other people;cause they do very much so.

Can he prove that God doesn't exist?

I had a guy on here tell me that "It's in the Bible" isn't an argument.... but yet he felt that giving me a link to an article was. So his reading material carries more of an argument than mine?

Isn't it ironic that someone felt that my resources could not be used, but his could? Is it possible that he knows that he can't really disprove the Bible, and is more so saying that it isn't fair of me to use something he can't rationally argue against?

I mean faith answers the why questions and science answers the congruent how questions.

Why cant we just teach spirituality and science in one class:

First:This is what God said He did
Second:This is the physical science of how He did it.

Now does the brain really have to be stretched like taffy or a rubberband to imagine that?

Monotheism = You can assemble wood to make a cabinet, but you did not CREATE the wood etc.

Humans and animals can BEGET but we can NEVER create a life or a child. We do not make the cells multiply etc.

The Creator Creates while ALL others beget.

Monotheism is to worship the ONE who creates.

Monotheism is to never worship anything that has been created.

Do you agree ?

Do you think it's a fake? If so, they're darned good. They've been examined by thousands of Scientists and not one has cast doubt on their authenticity.
Do you think this is a missing link? (by the way, the term "missing link" is a pop-culture myth, there is no such thing in the REAL world)
Do you believe it to be left by Satan(tm) in order to "steer people away from god"?
Honestly what do you think when you see the mountains of evidence that support Evolution?
And lastly, how do explain that it doesn't exist any longer, when clearly, it did. If creationism was a fact, then EVERYTHING would stand an equal chance to survive to this day.

I could add more but these should do just fine.
Oh and no replies that link "answeringgenesis.org" even die-hard creationists consider that site a joke.

In Christianty, you go to hell if you reject Jesus or God. The bible says nothing about what happens if you reject the Holy Spirit, other than to say that cursing the Spirit is unpardonable.

Islam on the other hand is very clear about what happens if you reject any part of its trinity. If you reject Muhammad, your going to hell. If you reject Allah, your going to hell and if you reject the Quran itself, your going to hell.

How else would you define a trinity other than by the entities you MUST believe in lest you go to hell? In Islam, much of the Islamic world believes the Quran itself is "uncreated" or essentially a God in and of itself. Much has been written about the uncreated Quran, and of course, only a deity could be beyond creation or uncreated. If the Quran is uncreated, then it has no creator, thus Allah couldnt have created it.

In Revelation 20: 11-15 we read:

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

In your view, is this an actual book?
Notice that John mentioned books and another book.
So, there are many books in heaven and one MAIN BOOK called the Book of Life. If our names are not found written in the Book of Life, we will not enter heaven. Your view?

2007-07-31 13:44:48 · 19 answers · asked by Anonymous

I'm asking this because so many of you like to say, "Oh, I'm not judging, I'm...!"

It seems this excuse is used for everything.

Keep in mind that, unless you can cite specific passages of the Bible to define 'judgment' as it is always used, you cannot just make up your own definition. If you cannot fall back on the Bible, you must use the dictionary.

I was just wondering about the things we do to "make ends meet" vs. how we truly feel about the person we are. I am in the middle of a career change, and I 'm going from one line of work that was "not me" to another line of work that is very much the same. I'm just wondering if your path belongs to you, or the person that you "stettled" for.

This isn't an argument in favor of creationism of the Biblical sort. I don't think there is one that isn't overturned by easy observation.

But one of the problems with the tug-of-war between Biblical creationists and Darwin worshipers is that science has been placed in a defensive position, defending Darwin at the cost of recognizing contrary evidence.

When the Darwin hypothesis emerged, not much was yet known about fossil records. Since thenm, a lot has been learned.

The 'usual' approach to evolutionary thought has little more support in fossil records than the creationist approach.

Fossil records show countless dead-ends, false starts, and almost universal jumps without linkage. A few of these make sense, but so many, with almost no direct intermediary linkage, bring legitimate questions and doubts to the table. Yet, science is so busy defending against creationists they aren't looking for other answers.

Creationists, aren't you ashamed of yourselves?

We all know that the Bible is God's word because this is what we have been told since we were born. Now, is there evidence (historical and biblical) that proves the Bible is God's word and NOT stories written to keep society under control by providing false hope?
