God can do anything and everything, but some things he won't tolerate, do, or allow. To say (because God DOES exist) that God doesn't exist is a lie, and lying is one of the things that God will NOT do.

Besides, from the way you're asking the question, it's like God is questioning himself about whether he exists or not...

:) Hope this helps.

If you think about it long enough, 'omnipotencel' can't exist in the real universe. The old proof has to do with God creating a rock so big that it can't be moved. But if he can't move it then he isn't omnipotent! But if he -can- move it then he can't make a rock so big that it can't be moved, so he's -still- not omnipotent. The irresistible force and the immovable object can't exist in the same universe.

And yes, in our version of objective reality, God can't prove he doesn't exist. And he chooses not to prove that he -does- exist. And people can't prove either that he exists or doesn't exist. So you have to accept him on faith. So there. 8^P

Good point.

Your argument shows the weaknesses of the "Magic-Genie-God" argument.

God can do anything, but God is Truth and Reality Himself. God deals in reality only, not theory and not hypothetical imaginary stuff.

Your agrument also shows that logic can only go so far when talking about God. At some point He supercedes what we know as "logic." I suspect God is way to big to fit inside any single syllogism.

God cannot and will not do anything contrary to His nature. His nature is to exist, and He cannot do differently. His nature is truth, and therefore, He cannot lie. Whenever anyone says that "all things are possible for God," they presuppose that the other knows the nature of God.

Ooh, a twist on the old "create a stone so heavy He can't lift it."

Yes, God could prove that He doesn't exist, and still exist. Hence why there are atheists.

Why would he want to do this, when He sent His only Son to prove that He does exist and that He loves us?

That's an oxymoron, and counterproductive. It sounds very much like a question a sophist would ask in a college cafe.

You said it: God can do anything, even that if He wanted to.
