In Revelation 20: 11-15 we read:
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
In your view, is this an actual book?
Notice that John mentioned books and another book.
So, there are many books in heaven and one MAIN BOOK called the Book of Life. If our names are not found written in the Book of Life, we will not enter heaven. Your view?

God admonishes us to consider the consequences. How exacly he records the books is not the point.
THAT he is recording and will make a judgement IS the issue.
The Bible does reference many books in Heaven, the Book of Life is the record upon which he will base our final judgement.
God admonishes us to be certain that we are written there.

Revelation 20:15 declares, “If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” The Book of Life is the set of names of those who will live with God forever in heaven. It is the roll of those who are saved. This Book of Life is also mentioned in Revelation 3:5; 20:12; and Philippians 4:3. The same book is also called the Lamb’s Book of Life because it contains the names of those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus (Revelation 13:8; 21:27).

This is my arguement for those who say that you can loose your salvation, I say that a name cannot be erased from the book of life. For the names are written in the book of Life and it does not say that they are ever erased, so you judge for yourself. Also in Revelations 14, the ones that survived the tribulation have God's name written on their heads and those that are thrown into the lake of sulfer have the MARK of the beast, so I would say "yes" to your question.

Is the Book of Life the same as the Akashic Records? There are lots of Edgar Cayce books on this
subject, as he would say "The Bible is the Best Source.

Yes, I believe my name is written in the Lambs Book of Life. I don't know if it's a literal book or not, but I DO know that my name is written in it.

The most important thing is this; Is your name written in the Book of Life? And if so; Will you make sure that it is not blotted out?

Maybe just a chapter in a book, I'm not sure.If our names are not found written in the Book of Life many will be saved by God's grace recieved by faith in Jesus "the Christ". (Eph 2:8).

we never know if the book mentioned in Revelation is a real book. we'll know when we get to the judgement day
the book of revelation is a prophecy...this might happen now. we don't know when the Judgement day comes.
also...we never know if our names are written in the book of life, because we are not perfect. no one is perfect but Jesus Christ our Savior. yet we still have to strive to be perfect.
and our single role in this world is to proclaim the "good news", the gospel. that is our purpose in life.
so please...if you're not a Christian i encourage you to be baptized with one of the church of christ.

It's not necessarily a physical book, but it is a constant record of who has repented of their sins and who has not. Either way, the "Book of Life" serves the same purpose. It simply indicates the assurance of salvation that is preached throughout the New Testament.
