Is this a sin?
Is that a sin?
How should I feel?
Was this wrong?
Will I be saved?
Can I go back to God after I did this?
Am I going to hell?
How many sins can I commit before....?
Would this be considered a sin?
Did I sin?
Etc.
Etc.
Etc,

And these people are over seven years old!

If religion is so right, how come these folks have to keep asking what is right?

How many things are there that you must be right about? Isn't it about God - love him or leave him?

So many rules! So little time.

Hypothetically...if there were a cataclyismic event that wiped out nearly all of humanity, and the only things that survied were the engilsh language, a group of isolated people and the entire Harry Potter book collection, do you think that Harry Potter would be considered "god" from that time forward?

I have a friend who is a Jehovah Witness, but is currently not practicing. She has went through a bad breakup, and other things in her life are not the way she would like them to be. She went to some spirit mediums and they gave her false hope and made her more depressed. She confessed to me recently that she has actually prayed to Satan several times begging him to bring her ex back to her and give her the life she desperately wants. Nothing has happened to her, her prayers were not answered and now she is angry at Satan. She says she wants to do right, but wants to do wrong more and figured Satan would help her. I am very worried about her and have urged her to talk to the elders but she won't, she is too embarrassed. I myself am a Jehovah Witness too, but have been inactive for years & am trying to get my life back on track. I am unsure what to do. What should I do??? She needs help and I do not feel qualified to give it to her.

I was into drugs and alcohol and depression when I found Jesus. Why do people have to be down in the dumps to find the lord. And why do they always have to say he is the real deal? I don't point out the sun is there or the moon is there because it is ovious.

Is it just selfish for us to pray. Is it our way of trying to gain some control in this chaotic universe?

I got my first suspension today! Yay, I popped my rapture cherry.

I got suspended on a question I asked in May (or the begining of June).

Will you all pray, make burnt offerings, perform ritual sacrifice, keep your fingers crossed for my dead account?

Could it possibly return some day like JC, Mithra, and Ra?

Every single candidate running is a Christian. Can't we have just one that says "i'm not religious" Or better yet refusing to answer the question saying something like "my religion has nothing do do with how i intend to lead the country and there fore irrelevant"

It is just sad that everyone of them jumped to state they were god-fearing christians because to do otherwise would be political suicide

The theory of evolution says that something came from nothing. (I know that it doesn't really say that, but I'm ignoring that point because it refutes my argument.)

My question is, if everything came from nothing, then why is there still nothing? For example, if I ask "what is greater than the universe", the answer is "nothing."

So, if everything evolved from nothing, there shouldn't be nothing. But there is. If evolution were true, then any nothing would have evolved into something, so any question I ask that has "nothing" as an answer should have "something" as an answer.
Therefore evolution is false.

Which version of the Bible do you choose and why? Which translation? Which books are included and excluded?

Is there anything that is Apocrypha that you believe should be Cannon?

Is there any Cannon that you think should be Apocrypha?

Does one of your copies of the bible contain your faith’s Apocrypha? Have your read it?

Does it contain the Tanakh and the other inter-testamental books?

I'm just sitting here thinking about different ways different Christians reach out to non-believers. There are those people who sit there and tell people about God's love, but not about his judgement. And then there are people who tell them about God's judgement, but not his love. When Jesus was telling people about coming to Him, I know he never flat out said "you've done this and this wrong, REPENT!" But he didn't totally ignore the person's sins either. For example, with the lady at the well. Jesus got the woman to tell him her sins. He knew what they were, but he never had to flat out say it because she admitted to them. Can you give me different examples of how Jesus approached non-believers?

I am Christian, married 7 years (no kids), and hubby and I have had problems for the past 2 years. He refuses counseling and church now. My church friends tell me to pray for it to work, but a part of me wants a divorce because he is showing no interest in working at it with me. He won't file for a divorce, and says whatever happens is on me now.

Should I pray and wait? Or let it go and file for a separation or divorce?

Did yuo know that:
It was Abraham Lincoln, once walking with a friend in the late evening, who looking up, said, "I could understand anyone up there in the heavens, looking down on this earth, and not believing in God: but I cannot understand anyone looking up to the heavens and seeing the glory of the stars, not believing in God." ??

The book of Revelation almost didn't make into the official canon.

Also, it is the only book where we get the idea of hell from the lake of fire.

The apocalypse writings are similiar but weren't included.

Do you think it was included to substantiate the idea of eternal punishment but was tame enough to not conflict with other doctrine?

If animals are smarter when it comes to certain things? For example they follow Gods plan of mating female & male {not homosexual}, animals protect their young {not murderous parents}, animals don't try and mate with younger animals {not like some pedophiles} and animals don't kill just because {like murderers}. I am not bashing anyone just questioning if anyone else feels similar to the way I do. As the humane race goes we are supposed to be more intelligent and as for these certain subjects animals seem to be showing a higher intellect what are your thoughts?
