Scholars believe that he may have been exposed to Buddhist teachings. There was a Roman city very near where Jesus grew up that was a "crossroads" of trade for the Roman empire.

No, I am even having trouble imagining that concept.
No, in spite of what the Pure Land Buddhists claim, Jesus was not Buddhist. I doubt if anybody except the Ancient Greek Epicureans or the Stoics would have had a clue about what the Buddhists were talking about. Your question is like asking if Mohammad was Buddhist. They are not related at all because of the monotheism that is the base of Judaism, Christianity or Islam.
Jesus is much more closely related to the Roman and Greek Sun worship cults. Much of the Gospels can be taken as a direct allegory of the conflict over the adoption of the Roman Solar Calendar against the Jewish Official Lunar Calendar. Even down to the treachery of the 13th disciple and his condemnation compared to a 13th lunar month every other year required to match the lunar year to the solar.

All great religious adepts like Jesus and Buddha are offering a way/path to experience unity between 'being and reality.' Each is specific to culture and time but share the fundamental understanding that reality mirrors the contents of consciousness which necessitates purification of the learned ego identity for rebirth/resurrection of the Christ Self or Buddha consciousness. The Vedanta, Bible, Kabbala and Koran offer different approaches to the same esoteric knowledge.

He is my brother. I am his sister. I am tested and categorized as Buddhist yet I follow the teachings of my brother. Our father who art in Heaven sustains my every step. He watches over me and guides me though I no longer pray to him on my knees nor do I attend churches or synagogues. Go figure. Don't mess with me, I have very influential friends in VERY high places.I have faith in my Dad.

There is evidence suggesting that he studied Buddhism. That makes a lot of sense, seeing as his teachings were right in line with the philosophy.

He followed the teachings of the Torah. In a sense, he was Jewish in his faith. In the Bible, he is refereed to as rabbi.
