I'm tired of people distorting the truth, aren't you? The only way to be saved is to accept Jesus as your savior. No good deeds will ever get you in without Jesus.

I mean, some of these people spend 16 hours a day sitting there doing nothing but posting "questions" that are obviously not really questions, just statements to insult, revile, hurt feelings, etc. Either they are incredibly bored or they are incredibly sadistic,or both. Opinions? Also, what is the definition of trolling and trolls? As I understand, almost all these bored-to-death "atheists" would meet the definition. Why don't they get a life?

And therefore one would assume he expects them to be role models (with regard to the Commandments) even MORE than he would expect with the rest of us he hasn't chosen

Just Kidding. Seriously though, I am a theist, not an atheist, I just do not believe in a Christian sort of god. But a question for Christians: Do you believe the anti-christ is on Earth right now? I guess I am asking do you believe the Book of Revelations is happening on Earth now, or will it happen in a subsequent generation? Or is it just bullshi*?

All they know is a few bible verses? They know nothing of Tradition, theology, or the living today of the Church.

In the Bible Jesus stated that he is the only way to God. Making such a bold statement, how does that make you feel?

If Jesus said, "no man comes to me expect the father draw him" then why do christians incessantly bible thump. The scriptures also say "the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness" ...

Doesn't that mean that christians waste their time and effort by preaching to those are aren't "saved" yet.?

Why don't they just live what Jesus taught and be "ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you" when the father does draw someone?

Why does the New World Translation insert the word Jehovah in the New Testament when there is absolutely no Greek manuscript that contain it?

Isn't this playing with the text?

Doesn't God forbid the chainging of the scriptures?...

Revelation 22:18 " For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plegues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Life, from the Holy city and from the things which are reitten in this book".

God is clear about changing the Bible..you can lose your salvation for it....JW's go door to door and claim that they are God's chosen people because they put the name in there, But God tells you in Rev....What he proposes to do about it....

I hear that it was one of the sacred 'balms' or whatnot that was used by Moses -

also in terms of Moses-
could the "burning bush" have been reference to "burning the bush" (burning marijuana) to get in touch with God? rather than God making an appearance AS a burning bush (which makes far less sense than the prior possibility) as Hollywood typically portrays the incident?

in my own experience, I have had moral clarity at times while 'burning the bush' - perhaps this is an original context

I rarely attend any family functions anymore, because I come from a clan of die hard fundies, and even my generation is pretty much hard core bible thumpers.

I am spiritual, not religious. I would like to for once attend a family reunion without having to explain why I don't want my daughter to go to Sunday school with the rest of the kids, and why we won't be at the church either for services. I am also tired of the fire and brimstone speeches, but I don't want to be rude. I want to be respectful, but blunt about how I feel. And that is, I don't enjoy people forcing religion down my throat, or my kid's.

My main concern is a really religious Christian aunt who thinks even my baby's Dora the Explorer videos are "evil", and she will whisk her kids out the room if I put that video on for my baby and shoot me and my child both the stinkeye. How do I deal with this?

Christians that believe in the trinity SHOULD have a tough time explaining this one, since he is himself, yet his own father God at the same time right? So he was talking to himself?

I guess this proves that not only are his followers delusional, but he himself was as well.

What's the diffrence between Christians, and Muslims?

2007-07-30 08:30:47 · 14 answers · asked by Son Of The King 1

Okay, I knew that header would get your attention!
How prevalent is it where you live for Muslim girls to have anal-sex to keep themselves "virgins" before marriage? How prevalent would you say it is for guys to ask them to do this?
This is meant to be serious. I think it is a big problem when you go and do one haram thing thinking it is some kind of loophole or something for another thing.

Anyway, I heard a lot about this while in Europe so I was just wondering --esp. from people who live in majority Muslim countries.

Yahoo wants to place this question in the GLBT section, R&S was't even an option.

What exactly did he sacrifice?

He didn't sacrifice his life, because he got a new (better) life in heaven...
if you trade a rusty old beat up car for a brand new shiny car, that's not a sacrifice, that's an upgrade...
Plus, his human body couldn't live forever...

He only spent a few days being tortured, which, compared to the infinite years he is (and will be) spending in heaven, is not a very big sacrifice...

I am curious. I have seen people bash other religions and call their religion superior. It's okay if you think that way, but I want to know...
1 what is your knowledge of other religions? I don't want to know your opinion, but rather give me facts. Don't tell me that your Priest or parents have raised you like this. Have you seriously tried reading other Holy books or you just don't want to know. You are happy with biased opinions.
