Why does the New World Translation insert the word Jehovah in the New Testament when there is absolutely no Greek manuscript that contain it?
Isn't this playing with the text?
Doesn't God forbid the chainging of the scriptures?...
Revelation 22:18 " For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plegues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Life, from the Holy city and from the things which are reitten in this book".
God is clear about changing the Bible..you can lose your salvation for it....JW's go door to door and claim that they are God's chosen people because they put the name in there, But God tells you in Rev....What he proposes to do about it....

Its clear that the New World Translation of the bible has flavoured the Holy Bible to support the emphasis of the Jehovah witness cult
Its quite unfortunate that God's name has been tainted because of this cult's abuse of it.
I have noticed however in the New testament the Father God is not addressed by His name. But the Son's name is spoken of so much. In fact it is at the sound of the name of the Son Jesus Christ that every knee under the earth. on the earth and in heaven bow down to. It is this name that the Father has bestowed to be the hightest name above all other names.
I thank the Lord that He is the Father Son and Spirit.
And that today we are baptised into the NAME of the Father Son and Holy Spirit.
May the Lord continue to rescue many more out of this JW cult each day through the faithful true witnesses that came out of it...

Adding or removing ideas, concepts, or teachings from the Bible is condemned, yes.
What you are talking about is an issue of translation. Some people use Abba, some Jehovah, some God, some Yaweh....it means God no matter how you slice it, so no one is taking away or adding, there are just using a different word for the same thing.
personally, this is why I prefer the NIV....it is a modern language text which was translated from the original languages, not a translation of a translation, like others.

Revelation 22:18 is not referring to the Bible as a whole. At the time Revelation 22:18 was written (in the late 1st century A.D), the Bible as we know it did not exist in the form of one book. There were many books and letters that circulated - and there was no complete, agreed upon volume.
Revelation 22:18 is referring to the Book of Revelation -- and it states that if anyone adds to these things ("the words of the prophecy of this book"). John is saying that if add or subtract from THE PROPHECY of THIS BOOK (the Book of Revelation) then the bad things will happen.
John himself did not have a copy of the Bible, nor was there one for him to be referring to as a single book.

The sacred scriptures have been altered so many times that there is no way to know what their original message actually was.
First major alteration occurred when the biblical patriarchs realized they had to prove women are evil so as to vanquish the worship of the Great Goddess and impose their all control and fear “religion” on humanity. So they had to manipulate the scriptures and blame women for causing mankind’s downfall into the dark pit of sin. Off course god had to be male…. only male!!!
Then Paul came into the picture and ordered –more or less - women to surrender to their owner-husbands, fathers, brothers and all other male figures of power!!!
And now you are wondering about JWs changing or adding at will in order to avail them selves with proof of their god is the true god!
They are the least of all evils ever walked the face of the Earth with the single most secret purpose to manipulate humanity into all falsified and malignant knowledge in order to diminish people’s chances of ever coming across the actual TRUTH about the TRUE nature of GOD/GODDESS.

"a" god in John 1:1
"other" 4 times in Colossians 1: 16, 17
and the misplaced comma in Luke 23:43?
The first two instances to "prove" that Jesus is not God.
The third instance to "disprove" the doctrine of souls returning to heaven after death.

and why KJV removed 6500 times the name of Jehovah in the OT if they have that name in Psalms 83:18?
if you are asking for 238 times that name Jehovah in the NT, what abouth the 6500 times in the OT that is not in KJV?
so Matt is Ok to add "lord" in the bible but not "Jehovah" Why?
TROLLTROLL the whole bible is the world of God not only the NT.
the NT is not the right term is the greek scripture and Hebrew scripture, calling old testament it is like is not useful.

Jehovah is the original word for God, and the Greek translations were taken from Hebrew texts. Tomato, tomat-o.
