Lying crosses every known boundary to Man. You do not have to be a republican to lie and then be smited by God. And, it seems to me that the only role models, in regard to the Commandments, ever to walk this planet were Jesus, Mohamed, and Buddha. As far as being chosen by God, I don't remember anywhere in the Bible that God choose the Hispanic people to be the chosen ones. Weren't the Jews God's chosen people? Maybe you could read the Bible and tell all of us. Oh yes, being a liberal does not mean that God has forsaken you.

Lies are going against 1 of the 10 commandments. Thus a sin, and they will be punished, unless they ask for forgiveness and repent to the Lord for those sins.

Nope. Because Republicans simply aren't God's chosen people by any stretch of imagination. Whoever told you that was clearly delusional. First of all, Israel is God's "chosen people", although Christians have been termed by the same name as well in some references. I know plenty of Democrats who are Christians and plenty of Republicans who aren't. And, judging by Gonzales's behavior, he's one of those definitely aren't.

god has chosen ones. ha. that makes me like that i am an atheist even more so i dont have to worry if a man who appaerntly controls the whole world and everyone on it favors people. i especially hate that people who are really sweet, not that i am, but my hindi friend is that she would go to hell for not beleiving in god even though she is the nicest perosn you will ever meet cuz she and other people have diffrent beleifs.
