I'm tired of people distorting the truth, aren't you? The only way to be saved is to accept Jesus as your savior. No good deeds will ever get you in without Jesus.

You know, it doesn't matter how many people agree with you. Plurality does not make truth. I do not agree because I'm Jewish and there is nothing you can say that would make me change my mind. The God that I believe in would NEVER torment anyone for eternity. It's not distorting the truth; it's just that I don't see it the same way you do. And if all one needs is belief in Jesus to enter heaven and it doesn't matter how one behaved on earth, why should Christians bother to be good when they don't need to be? When all they need is to say "I believe in Jesus" to enter heaven, why bother with being good?

Disagree. For one, I don't believe in Heaven to be a real place, but that's just one person's belief. And no, I'm not an atheist, but I'm not a Christian, either. I used to be, however, so I know where you're coming from with this. Any God that would send somebody to hell for an eternity of punishment and pain, even if they were fantastic people on Earth, philanthropists and peace promoters, etc., is NOT okay with me. When will the Christians realize that the Bible is just another holy book? Why is their book any better than that of any other religion? And of all the religions in the world, there is only ONE correct one, and it just happens to be the one that they were taught growing up...what a coincidence. Agree?

This is a complicated statement/question.
[ Do Good to Please God ] “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
Matthew 6:1-3
When one does a 'good deed' it is a reflection on how His Will works through you. We are but vessels for His Works and His Message and to lead by example. Good deeds are NOT bribes to 'get to Heaven' but rather knowing how to Live the Life. Living the Life in Jesus' name is actually a combination of doing good deeds (unseen and with humility) and believing in him. This is merely my opinion containing no judgements against anyone.

Ask yourself what the purpose of life is sometime.

If one believes in works as part of the equation, that does not mean that the person makes less of the power of the Savior. No doubt, without His Atonement, nothing could be hoped for. I have accepted him as my Savior, yet I know that He has commanded us to be perfect, even as Our Father is. We are encouraged to strive, endure, persevere, overcome. This means we are to stand trials and tribulations. If we pass the test, that will determine if we are worthy of the highest realm of glory. Won't be handed to us on a silver platter.

If you believe the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus, than you do not understand the first thing about the teachings of Jesus.

If someone believes in Jesus as their savior and goes out and murders a bunch of people will they still get into heaven? If so I would rather be in hell because I wouldn't want to spend eternity with someone like that. Christianity sounds pretty backwards.

Yup! The only way to heaven is accepting Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. I hope and pray that more people realize this and become saved!

Agreed. Christ is the only sacrifice acceptable to God. When we trust God for that atoning sacrifice through the blood of Jesus, we are attributed for righteousness.

So everyone will burn in Hell FOREVER except for Christians because they dared to believe in the wrong version of God? Gee, your God is a nice guy, especially when you consider all the scientific evidence that proves Christianity is the one true religion. I believe I saw an article in Nature that scientifically proved it was true. They did a litmus test and it turned pink.
