Before they come out of the womb.
I have read to my grd-dghtr., since I had her...3 wks old.
When we say prayers she's so cute,
she asks for my hand 1st; we give praise & thanks,
so sometimes during she'll just blurt out "birds," "cake,"
or "water," so I'll add it in,
"we thank you for the pretty birds."
I know it has to do with what she did,
learned or saw that day, something she enjoyed.
Her Amen isn't a simple Amen,
nope it's more a; "Amen!,Amen!,Amen!"
I think it's adorable.
Then she says I love you & nite, nite.
She's just over 2 yrs old.
When my grt-nephew was born,
I took some pics specifically for my neice,
of the dad & baby in the 1st few moments
(or she wouldn't ever see it)
I gave praise to Jehovah for his arriving safe & unharmed
(emergency c-section) when I said the name of God,
he turned his still gunky little face right at me, "click" got it.
Later my neice asked about this pic.,
cuz he's looking Directly & Intently Right At me.
So I told her; I thanked God,
for his safe arrival, & the mom being well,
when I said His name, Jehovah
he looked me right in my face, 'click.'
edit: I went & read the other answers,
photografr7 u said---
"when should we start lying"----
all already do, Everybody YOU
already do lie to them
when u tell them about santa,
easter bunny, tooth fairy, should I keep going?
When I came into the truth & read w/ my kids;
the youngest told me
"u said u'd never lie to us mommy,
santa's not real or the tooth fairy etc..."
Yeah, I always told my kids I'd never lie to them; but I had.
I felt about this { ` } big (inside the brackets).
SO STOP LYING TO YOUR KIDS, (not yelling;emphasizing)
as, many of you here said.
Try the truth, It Won't Kill YOU.
Lying could tho'. And them.
Living a lie, that could cost you & them ur everlasting souls.
2nd edit: YouAsked4it; LOL hahaha we pretty much said the same thing @ the same time.LOL!!!!!

Gods Kingdom: (Daniel 2:40 4) “And interior the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that heavily isn't dropped at ruin. And the dominion itself is in basic terms not exceeded directly to the different human beings. it is going to weigh down and placed an end to a pair of those kingdoms, and it itself will stand to situations indefinite; What it is going to do on earth: (Revelation 21:3, 4) With that I heard a noisy voice from the throne say: “look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will stick to them, and that they are going to be his peoples. And God himself would be with them. 4 And he will wipe out each tear from their eyes, and dying would be not greater, neither will mourning nor outcry nor soreness be anymore. the former issues have kicked the bucket.”

The Bible says from infancy. Jesus was trained in his Fathers ways from the start. Today we have so many things to bring up our children to love Jehovah God. The best thing to start with is the Bible Stories Book. Great pictures that grab a child's interests.

The bible suggests you raise your sons and daughters in the way of the Lord so that when they stray (and we all have at one time or another, have we not?) they will still understand and know that God loves them despite the things they say and do.
Don't force your beliefs on your children, but live a good example so that they might see your good deeds and give glory to the Father in Heaven (Matthew 5:16).

Since children learn primarily by example, then it would be at birth. The parents should be living the principles of the Kingdom of Heaven before them and then it is a lifestyle instead of a teaching to them.

When I was pregnant with my son I would read to him from "My Book of Bible Stories" and the Bible. After he was born I continued to do so. Now that I have taught him to read he can read it on his own. So we have always taught him about God. Even the scriptures tell us to do so at a young age. Please see Deuteronomy 6:4-9.

From infancy... I was taught about God when I was born (even before birth) and I am grateful to my parents and family for that.

They say unborn babies can hear their mom's voice.....so I would begin to talk about the Lord to them then ! And it would continue from the time they took their first breath!
A lady once asked her wise pastor, "Pastor, at what age should I start telling my two year old about God?" The pastor replied, "Lady, you have just wasted two years!"

Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a boy according to the way for him; even when he grows old he will not turn aside from it."
From birth with love.

If you want your children to grow up with the same beliefs you have then you should start indoctrinating them as soon as possible, because when they get older they become better able to reason and evaluate. In other words, their BS detector gets more acute. So get your hooks in them before they develop the ability to think for themselves.
