In the Byzatine tradition it's Hagia Sophia. Holy Spirit. The "g" is silent. So say it High-ah.

You so crazy.

Shekinah (Sheh-'keen'-ah). In Judaism, anyway, this is the feminine aspect of God. She is said to have accompanied the Tribes when the Romans destroyed the Temple and sent the Tribes into exile, and she watches over them wherever they are even now - even if a person doesn't realise he is a member of one of the lost tribes. She also watches over those who DO know they are Jews and live in the Diaspora outside of Israel.

She is the Bride we welcome every Friday evening as the Shabbat Queen. Every day Orthodox Jews around the world say prayers for the reunification of the Shekinah with her husband (God's male aspect), although this is thought not to happen until the time of Moshiach (messiah), so it's a prayer with several purposes, one of which is that by praying for the unification, is also praying to bring the Messiah.

These prayers are found in the siddur (Jewish prayer book), if you'd like to see them. In English or Hebrew, whichever you prefer.

Man decided to call the creator God. A more appropriate term would be to call the creator The spirit. Spirit is neither male nor female ,but possess both qualities.

God is man, that's all there is to it. He created man is his image which is why the man should be over the woman, in everything your house, the government, everything, I am a woman and believe that God wants the man to be the head of the house. He is my heavenly FATHER, not mother!

She is the Great Mother, and has been known by many Names...Isis, Astarte, and Cerridwen are some of my favorites.

Address Her with the respect you'd give your own mortal mother, by whatever name you decide fits.

Max Marie does not know Greek: That answer is way off. Hagios (is Greek for Holy) Pneuma is Greek for Spirit (literally air), so disregard his or her answer.
Real answer there is no Feminine Gender for God either in The Greek, Aaramic, or Hebrew language. --You need to read the Scripture to get your answers.

anyone who ascribes sexuality to god is grossly stupid. why should a god who is omnipotent limit his power with that of a single sex. people have the problem and not god. wake up. some terms of the bible were effected for understanding at the time.
