The Bible says that God Created each kind of animal, to reproduce after it's kind. That's observable. That's provable. That's fact.
Evolutionists say that all living animals evolved from ameoba. That's not observable. That's not provable. Question is.....is it a fact?
The Bible says that dogs will produce only dogs. Cats will produce only cats. Horses will produce only horses. That has always been observed. We've never seen a dog come from a non-dog, or a dog producing anything other than a dog.
Evolutionists say that the dog, cat, horse and banana had a common ancestor. But they don't know what that ancestor was, what it looked like, or where it came from.
Main reason people believe in evolution, because the only other choice would be God, and they don't want to believe that's possible.
Do you believe that something, no one knows what or where it came from, brought forth all forms of life, or do you believe God Created everything? And why do you believe what you believe?

I saw a book title in a Christian catalog to do with 3:00 a.m. in the morning. It said "Why do people wake up at 3:00a.m. in the morning?" I was thinking of buying it but I thought what if it is a book not approval to God. I did not buy it. I still think about that question off and on like now. Any body on here know what that is about? Is it something scary???

Many "believers" feel His presence.. I NEVER seem to feel it.. No matter how many times I have prayed, no matter how many hardships I go through..

Sure, my life is "proof" of God, right?

I'm sorry, I try to believe, but I'm left with complete nothing.

Every day I wake up to nothingness.. I'm not a bad person - I have thought I saw my own sign from God, only to be left in the DIRT.

Where is God when I cry? The bible says He'll always be there to comfort you - what abou those who have NEVER ever heard of God?

I'm sick of this sick cycle - I have faith, yet it's not good enough. How can I be happy - searching for love from a God that ignores me?

My life hasn't been easy, it hasn't been worse than most.. But it hurts a lot to have faith, pray, and think you get an answer - false hope - God ignores me. HE doesn't care.

I'm just wondering how in the world protestants can say that Catholics aren't Christians. Anyone who has studied history knows that the Catholic church was the church of the early christians - the church started by Jesus Christ. So it just astounds me when protestants - who broke off from the catholic church, can now say that catholics are not christian.

... mentally ill able to get into Heaven? According to the Christianity religion, to be a born-again Christian, you must make a conscious decision to accept Christ as a savior. How is this possible for a mentally ill person who has no way of grasping this concept?

"You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." And Leviticus 20:13 adds, "they shall surely be put to death."

Break out the fossil collection! But, and I add this only as a caution, look out for the snags.

For one, in the very same Bible, in John 8:7, Christ himself says, "Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone."

What other abominations does the Bible specify? Of course, adultery (Lev 18:20), sex with animals (Lev 18:23), remarrying one's wife after she's had another husband in between (Deut 24:4), or approaching any woman and humming "Strangers in the Night" during the time of her "uncleanness" (Lev 18:19). Cross-dressing is out (Deut 22:5), and that includes Halloween costumes, slacks on women, bib overalls on llittle girls, or a wife wearing her husband's favorite Oxford buttondown. And more on buttondowns in a moment.

I know people who insist that jesus is the son of God and buy into the whole fairytale. These same people appear to be of average or above average intelligence. How do they pull it off? I have family members who seem fairly smart but they are so brainwashed with the stuff that I wouldn't dare admit to what I think about it. Every time I talk to my uncle he asks if I'm going to church. It's saddening, because I feel like a liar for not just telling him what I think. He's a friendly person and pretty sharp at most things and he'd do anything for you if you asked, but there's just that one part of him that I can't understand, like there's some sort of reasoning block. Maybe you could share a story of someone in your life who is deluded.

The faith that you have in God, what is something comparable that I would understand?

When do you think the average individual experiences a similar method of forming a belief?

If God made us, and evolution has proof... therefore God and evolution exist. God could have made primates first, then kept on getting better and better. Eventually, he got us. Science has flaw, faith has flaw. They both exist. How could anything form without something making it?

Was the Bible written by a bunch of ignorant shepards and fishermen? Or was it guided by the hand of God?

Dr. Ivan Panin, a mathemetician from Harvard, discovered the hapatic formula in the Bible, based on the number 7. If we look at the genealogy of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Matthew, we find something interesting. We need to look at the original Greek text. If you add up all the words in the genealogy, they are exactly divisible by 7. The number of letters are divisible by 7. The vowels and constanants are each divisible by 7. Words beginnig with a vowel or constanant are each divisible by 7. Words that are nouns are divisible by 7. Words other than nouns are divisible by 7. The number of genealogies listed are divisible by 7. The number of men mentioned are divisible by 7. How could an uneducated group have written this document. The odds of this happening by chance are astronomical.
ANY ONE SEE THE HAND OF GOD IN THIS?

Theists often claim that it takes faith to sit in a chair, or faith that tomorrow will come. This is obviously not using the definition "belief that is not based on proof." Instead, it seems more like confidence or trust.

So when faith is given as a reason to believe in God, is it like saying "I believe in God because I trust that he exists"?

This seems rather circular. Your thoughts?

I'm a 17 year old boy who attends church every Sunday.
Neither of my parents are Christian ( I carpool with a friend every sunday).
I was wondering if it is wrong for me to get an earring (one on the left.)
The earring would be a pretty small gem or something like that. nothing outrageous.

You probly won't believe me and it may be a coincidence but I think this story is quite amazing. Have u ever had a similar experience?:

I was a guest to a Jewish family one time and the "man of the house" who was a doctor could not be there for dinner so he calle dhis wife to tell us. She, looking quite distraught said "----- wont be here for dinner. He's doing a brain surgery right now and the chance of survival is very slim for the patient."
"You mean...?" I didnt finish. SHe looked down sadly.
"Well, I'll do a short prayer for him that it ends up ok. God hears all prayers" So I did a short supplication
"You know, it wont make a difference. The patient is in very critical condition my husband says. Its so sad, this man was a good friend of ours."
"Well, if he makes it out alright then we can credit it to my prayer ok?" I said, not fully confident that my prayer would make any difference but whatever.

News that night told us that his condition was improving unexpectedly! WOW

Christians cry over the casket of a person who has passed away. I think this is a contradiction of what they believe and have been taught. If children of the Lord TRULY believed in life after physical death, then there should be happiness for the person (the spirit) that has left our planet to be with the Lord.

I forgot the name of the religion, but is a country that cries when someone is born knowing all the troubles he or she will endure but throws a party when the person dies because he or she finally left this short, miserable life.

Do you see my point?

Why do Christians, who claim to walk with Jesus, cry over the body of a loved one who has left to be with the Lord in a better place?

Explain.
