How would you feel if someone attacked your most cherished beliefs? Or someone came and told you all the things you now believe are the exact opposite or things were left out or the truth was stretched or men changed words in your holy book. Sometimes I wonder what the point of attacking any ones religion is? Are atheist jealous? Do they believe it would be better for someone to live their lives without guidelines.
But if you are sincere and just want someone to see the truth than that is different. There is no kind of way an Atheist can lead a meaningful guided life. Where is your comfort and joy if you are atheist?

I'm not deleting it. It's an important point. I think I mess up a bit there, but I truly believe that the idea that the Bible doesn't make sense is a source of faith because it doesn't make sense to HUMANS. I still might fall short quite a few times though.
Allot of atheists might be interested to know that my Christian camp counselors (who I respect for helping me learn the joy of the Gospel through pranks and jokes) like science. They say it's God's tool. They also encourage me to challenge my faith. They say that when I beat the doubt, I will be stronger in believing.
This is an excellent question. ;)
BTW, there aren't normally errors in the Bible. I think you met places where our intellect falls short. And Christians, I said "normally" because I read an article on how hell was a mistranslation. Although the article is questionable, I don't have the research to prove or disprove it. Email me if you want the article. ;)

I hate religion sooo much its like a club but its excelled into a religion people just dont seem to realise is that before christ their were a s**t loadsa religions they just started and ended like bloody fashion does. Christians don't question simply because they, nor does the almighty priest/father/pope (which may i remind you ARE FU**ING NORMAL PEOPLE!!!!!!) know anything they dont know heaven hell exists they dont no the 10 commandments were ever true or not, or wether the bible is of TRUE knowledge and facts, its just a book come on, its bin 2007 years and god aint showed himself in any "form", i sort of believe in a god but i'm not stupid enough to brand myself with a religion, basically its people who want to know a reason for life and they try and find it with religion, and religions always compete with each other and thats the main reason we are in the f***ed up state of affairs were in. If you don't think religions are stupid look how Mormon's started their religion well look at how every religion started, a guy talking to a firey bush yer in the middle of a desert oh and its god no way lol nice one and you believe this fu**er do you? Don't tell me to grow up use your mind for once and get a little educated :) And for all you Johovas out their iv just got myself a Husky nice a friendly im going to teach it to chase of Jo Ho's though, a religion where people get recruited lol damn this world is mad.

I have had a few *errors* pointed out to me, I know there are a few in the Bible, not anything that takes or effects our salvation tho.....and some things that ppl think are errors, are just different veiws from different ppl.... Yes, it is all God inspired, but He does allow , in some unimportant things, different veiw points..... Like numbering ppl in certain times for sensus purposes, some ppl did not count the women, big deal, the sensus were made for war times, and women did not fight the wars then...... not sure what you mean * A biggest sin * ?? make this question a little more clear please........ God bless

No---making someone think, no matter what their religion, is not a sin. -- Intelligent people think! Bible believing folks, (my Mom for one), must accept the Bible as perfect truth because it is the foundation of their faith and beliefs. And yet my Mom is always honest and open when we discuss the Bible. And she is always more than ready to admit that some things in the Bible do raise questions. Try not to generalize---not all Christians have a closed mind----Blessings!

I don't consider offering your opinion a sin, and if you read questions/answers in this category, you will find that there are some who refuse to "think", as you put it....they accept what they are told and refuse to consider other possibilities. It's like arguing with a cement block, which is mind-boggling to those on here who chose to look at all the possibilities. I think that is why we see rather "heated" discussions in this forum.

We think about our religion more than you do. It is our religion after all. We just don't like smart-mouthed questions from people who are simply trying to ridicule, not to learn or understand.
Please feel free to answer my question from the other day, for everyone who hasn't done so already:

i go out of my way to think... that's what studying the scriptures is for...i don't believe there are errors in the bible but i'd be willing to debate with you if it's a serious debate and not a christian bashing...

sin is a religious word originating with catholicism... still today when they speak of sin it reflects actions against catholic interest.... Murder to the church isn't a sin if it's in the churches interest... they call it forgivable.....
