How do you feel about this?

"Other components of building character in children:

Teaching them useful sports: It is commendable to teach children sports such as archery, swimming and horse riding.

Avoiding humilating them, especially in front of others: Part of treating children respectfully is never belittling their ideas, and encouraging them to take part.

Consulting them and asking for their opinions.

Giving them responsibilities in accordance with their age and abilities.

Teaching them to be brave as appropriate - including how to speak in public.

Making sure their clothes are modest and protecting them from inappropriate clothing, hairstyles, movements and ways of walking.

Making sure that boys do not wear silk, as this is only for women.

Avoiding extravagance, luxury, laziness and idleness: ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Get used to a rough life, for luxury does not last forever."

I believe if you make a claim that something exists, natural or supernatural, you should be able to provide conclusive evidence.

Is it necessary for someone who disagrees with your claim to provide reasons for his or her disagreeance, if you have provided none for your claim?

I am not, as I always disclose, a believer, but I am interested in how religious people reconcile the idea of suffering with a loving God. I am also curious about whether (and how) suffering strengthens or weakens your idea of God. Thanks.

Christian kids kill themselves all the time because they're gay and think they're going to hell. What I want to know is why do Christians continually condemn homosexuality when their own children are killing themselves for being that way? Why don't they just accept the fact that that's how they are and love them regardless?

Are You Ready for Judgment Day?

The Bible says everyone will stand before God to give an account of every word, thought, and action. Will you be innocent or guilty on Judgment Day? Let’s look at the Ten Commandments and see if you meet God’s standard. Is God first in your life? Do you love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? Have you ever lied, stolen, hated, or dishonored your parents? Have you looked with lust and therefore committed adultery in your heart? If you have broken just one of these laws, then you have sinned against God. The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The penalty of sin is death and eternal torment in hell.
The good news is God provided a way out. Jesus Christ took your punishment when he suffered and died on the cross. He defeated death by rising from the dead. The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Do many of you believe that Allah says to only serve justice to non-Muslims? Do you believe that we have are to be only tolerant amongst ourselves?

“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even if it be against yourselves, your parents, and your relatives, or whether it is against the rich or the poor...” (Quran 4:135)

Allah is just to everyone. To those who do good and to those who do evil. Allah has even promised that hell eventually will be empty once everyone has recieved their punishment.. or in other words his justice has been served. Allah even promises to show reward to those who are kind.. Muslim or not.

How do you feel about Islam after being on R&S? After learning more about it? Do you agree that people have this nature to stereotype everything and everyone.. and that Muslims AND non-Muslims... should follow the love and peace?

All opinions welcome. I don't report or give thumbs down to anyone.

Peace & Love to all.

I'm just wondering since you are SO concerned for human life. How about starving kids in poverty or who live in Third World Nations? If you care so much about life, why not do something productive?

In the first, Adam was created after the animals. In the second, he was made before.

What is the Christian response to the (seemingly?) conflicting accounts in Genesis?

Good and bad ,right and wrong is a bit broader than simple yes/no.

A lot of people are "not bad",less people are good,

good people are responsible for more bad than not bad people but good people achieve more so which system is better?

Its harder to be good and all God ever asked us to be is not bad, just avoid sin, avoid doing bad,

Do this and we will be ok,so how is it some people have such a hard time with God and blame Him for everything.

Am i wrong?

Can we win just so long as we dont conceed any goals?

What do you think of this?

"The Prophet Muhammad used to prohibit soldiers from killing women and children,1 and he would advise them: {...Do not betray, do not be excessive, do not kill a newborn child.}2 And he also said: {Whoever has killed a person having a treaty with the Muslims shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance is found for a span of forty years.}3"

The statistics say that 10 out of 10 people die. It’s true – we all have an appointment with death. A question each of us should ask is “What happens after I die?” The Bible says that God has a standard that he will judge you by on your appointed day of death. It’s called the Ten Commandments. Let’s see how you will do. Have you ever told a lie? (Including white lies and fibs) Have you ever stolen anything? (no matter the value) The third Commandment is “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain”. Have you ever used His name as a curse word to express disgust? The seventh Commandment is “You shall not commit adultery”, but Jesus said “If you look upon a woman to lust after her you’ve already committed adultery with her in your heart”. Have you ever looked at another person with lust or desire? If you said 'yes' to these four questions, then by your own admission you’re a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer-at-heart, and we’ve only looked at four of the Ten Commandments. On Judgment Day, if God were to judge you by those standards, would you be innocent or guilty? Would you go to Heaven or Hell?

The Bible says that you would be guilty, that means hell. Know that God, the just judge of the universe, is also rich in mercy. He sent His Son Jesus to suffer and die on the cross on your behalf to take the punishment for your sins. He paid your fine with His life's blood. That means God can commute your death sentence. He can allow you to live because of what Jesus did on the cross. Through His death and resurrection, God can now dismiss your case. He can forgive your sins and allow you to live. So what must you do? You must repent - turn from your sins. Don't just confess your sins to God; confess and forsake them. Don't just believe in Jesus - trust in Him, like you would trust in a parachute to save you. You don't just believe in a parachute, you put your trust into it! That's what you must do with the savior.
