what if you have everything all wrong and the devil is the one that wrote the bible and God is really trying to get through you with science?
Don't you think a God would want you to be intelligent and logical? Why would he/she want you to be ignorant and insult he/she by believing in the bible. That he/she would like you to believe he/she is a jealous child murdering, genocidal, maniac?

da mick - I being an ex christian know both sides of the field...However your knowledge of evolution and blah blah blah seems to be closed minded. tell me if you know both sides why dont you start telling me about oh i dontk now phylogenetics, molecular biology, meme pools...
and evolution is NOT the only science. and most certainly not the only scientifical branch that evidences against the bible.

God is imaginary.
Demons are imaginary.
Jesus (if he was real) was an ordinary human.
Once you accept the reality of these facts, life become easily understood.

You are right about one thing (God would want you to be intelligent and logical), and close about another thing (Jesus was a demon posing as a diety). He didn't mean to, according to the thing that you might be wrong about (the one that wrote the bible).
But to answer your question.......If Jesus wasn't the Messiah, and was truly an imposter (knowingly or not) then all those people who are eagerly waiting his return (after the kill everyone else with their wars and technological pollution) are going to be in for a big surprise......when he doesn't show up to "save them."
Fortunately for some of them (a very few, according to the prophecy of Isaiah, which their religion was once "founded on," there will be a "redeemer," who will allow those who want to stop fighting and learn to live on the earth without killing it.....regardless of their religion.
Of course, he also establishes the "one religion," that Christians (and every other Bible Based Religion thinks they are). He does that by demonstrating the accuracy of the prophecy of the Holy Bible, which is correctly called the Torah, or Written Torah, which means "Messianic Instruction."
The reason we will need the "Messianic Instruction" is included in it.........but unfortunately, how we survive it isn't. The "it" in that sentence is talking about the "reason," in the first one, which is that what we are doing to the earth and each other is about to cause our world to come unwound.
And yes, most people are in sheep dit.
Regards,
Chris

Gnostic perspective. the God who created the world Jehovah is evil. If Satan is the great deceiver the proof would be the bulk of the people following the wide road, and worshipping God in structured political religion.
Ok, we seem to have the proof.
Jesus I believe was a great seer who exposed this deceit of the old testament when you sort the wheat from the chaff of the new testament. There is so many political additions to the New testament it is not easy. It has been estimated only 25% of this part of the bible is accurate at best. I also see the plea "father father why have you forsaken me" as the give-away line. We are told Jesus knew what to expect, but at the crucial moment God deserted him. An act of a great deceiver.

Science is fallible. Why? Because we are human. And it seems that science wants to find a "death blow" to God so they rightly can claim themselves as one. That's what Evolution is really is. (Think about it) And to say that God is child murdering, blah blah blah is absurd. If you do not understand the landscape, background, or even the environment of those times, then you shouldn't open your mouth. Period.

God created intelligent and logical people. Many intelligent and logical people seek an answer to the question, "Is Jesus who He said He is?" Through intelligence, history, and logic, many people have concluded that He is indeed the son of God.
Of course, since you do not believe He is...He appears to be a maniac. Jesus is either who He said or He is crazy. You've clearly made your determination.
But, do not be so quick to assume that only atheists are intelligent and logical.
Your assumption that believers are unintelligent causes your own intelligence to be questionable.

Did you know that the religious leaders alive at the time of Jesus accused him of that very thing?
"Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"
But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."
Matthew 12:22-24
See also Luke 11:15
There will always be people who distort the truth and slander what is good. It's a matter of what do you believe and who do you trust. I trust my Lord.

Well, first of all you can't even tell us that God is a "He" or a "She". So you sound ignorant. Also you sound ( or are read) as one who is unintelligent because you act like you didn't catch yourself saying that.
If you know so much, is God a He or a She?
Also, Jesus was accused of having a demon:
John 8
48 The Jews answered him, "Aren't we right in saying that you are a Samaritan and demon-possessed?"
49 "I am not possessed by a demon," said Jesus, "but I honor my Father and you dishonor me. 50 I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge.
So again. Why do you seem so ignorant?

Then they would still follow him. Any religion that calls its adherants a "flock" is saying they are sheeple.
And remember sheeple, the shepard does NOT guard his flock out of the goodness of his heart. He guards it so he can get their meat and wool. I'm sure he loves his sheep, they taste great and keep him warm, but it isn't that great for the sheep in the end.

Wow.
Jesus is really a demon, and God wears a white lab coat...
Or maybe YOU are actually a demon, posing as a human being?

First off, BIG kudos to KC! Secondly, the devils favorite words are "what if." The devil uses those words to place doubt in the hearts of people, which leads to fear, which leads to irrational action and then sin. "What if" indeed...I like "why don't" so why don't you go back to the drawing board and see what else you can come up with to confuse yourself?
