How do you feel about this?

"Other components of building character in children:

Teaching them useful sports: It is commendable to teach children sports such as archery, swimming and horse riding.

Avoiding humilating them, especially in front of others: Part of treating children respectfully is never belittling their ideas, and encouraging them to take part.

Consulting them and asking for their opinions.

Giving them responsibilities in accordance with their age and abilities.

Teaching them to be brave as appropriate - including how to speak in public.

Making sure their clothes are modest and protecting them from inappropriate clothing, hairstyles, movements and ways of walking.

Making sure that boys do not wear silk, as this is only for women.

Avoiding extravagance, luxury, laziness and idleness: ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Get used to a rough life, for luxury does not last forever."

Ok all that has been written is very common knowledge to the majority of North Americans. I don't know why you are stressing so much on how to teach children. Everything you have typed is basically how parents with common sense would grow their children up. Some a little more, some a little less. I think the key is not to be extreme in any situation. Not too spoiled and not to deprived. Not to arrogant and not too weak, both physically, spiritually and religiously. Like I said there is a time and place for everything, even what God has in store for us. "For what I perceive thy parents or others have done me wrong, oh Lord! forgive them and give them my kindess rewards and sympothy, the gift of life alone is gift enough and for that I am eternally grateful."

Thank you for poiniting out these facts.

It is really important as sometimes people can forget the requirments of religion and follow culture in terms of building a childs life. Religion should play a stable part.

You forgot to add hitting the child if they don't pray. Hitting the daughter if not dressed properly starting as a young girl. You also forgot that many Muslims deliberately lie to their children about the Holocaust so you can increase their hatred of Judaism. Teaching them Jews are pigs. Teaching them how to take apart and assemble guns. Teaching them that being a martyr is great and rewarding.

These things are wrong in case you did not know and if you believe in allah, then you did not know.

Let us not forget to teach the little boys that women should not be leaders:

"Female Pakistani minister shot dead for 'breaking Islamic dress code'

"The gunman, Mohammad Sarwar, was overpowered by the minister’s driver and arrested by police. A stone mason in his mid 40s, he is not thought to belong to any radical group but is known for his fanaticism. He was previously held in 2002 in connection with the killing and mutilation of four prostitutes, but was never convicted due to lack of evidence.

"Mr Sarwar appeared relaxed and calm when he told a television channel that he had carried out God’s order to kill women who sinned. “I have no regrets. I just obeyed Allah’s commandment,” he said, adding that Islam did not allow women to hold positions of leadership. “I will kill all those women who do not follow the right path, if I am freed again,” he said."

Ihailmut

I dont know about you but if you had a little boy, and he saw his whole family being killed right in front of him for no reason, would that not anger him enough to hold a gun and start blazing??

Think before you answer.

We know the truth about what they are taught. We see the pictures of young boys holding guns and dressed in uniform.
