Except, you are wrong. The ACLU has stood up for the right of Christians to preach door to door free from governmental regulation.

Do you know the ACLU has taken on many Christian cases and defended the rights of students to wear Christian symbols and Christian organizations to hold protests on government property for example. Anyone, or any religion , has the right to worship as they please. Just government cannot promote one religion over another. So all religions are equal in the eyes of the law. Just some people don't get it that just because a minority religion wins a case that does not demean their religion.
The ACLU is there to protect rights given by the constitution. The constitution is not a majority rules philosophy. It is to ensure that a majority cannot overwhelm the rights of any minority. so because the press and the populace enjoy sensationalism the cases you see tend to be the ones that will raise the hackles of the majority.

American Civil Liberties Union. They're literally a line of defense against this Presidency's stripping away of our basic rights as Americans.

The ACLU defends the our constitutional rights. You'd know that if you read the Constitution, as well as the contemporaneous writings of its authors, instead of listening to lies told by those who detest freedom (except their own, of course).

Funny, because they have defended the rights of Christians, even Nazi Christians, to have free speech - just not a nonexistent right to force it on others.
You obviously know nothing about the ACLU.

sarcastic but oh so true...and all you neighsayers out there, explain why the ACLU fights for every other religion under the sun to have full religious freedom anywhere, anytime, but fights against our children's right to bring a Bible to school or pray to Jehovah. Why are they fighting to take "under God" out of the Pledge? Why do they fight to have nativity scenes taken down? Every god is good for them except the Judeo-Christian God. They love religious toleration, as long as it's not of the Christian variety.
