Early on in my walk with the Lord, I felt moved by the Holy Spirit to get rid of my TV. I have been without my own television for about 6 years or so now, AND DON'T MISS IT AT ALL!

Have you felt the Lord move you to take the same action ? Did you respond positively, or are you delaying ? Any other thoughts concerning this subject ?

Thanks in advance for all polite answers.

Bless you.

My family consists of very devout baptists. I mean my roots are Carolina mountain roots so heavy on the Christianity and so I was raised... however I have come to doubt certian things... I am trying to find my way. The thing is I have a 2.5 almost 3 year old baby... If for some slim chance my way of thinking is wrong, I do not want her to suffer an "eternity in hell" as you Christians put it because of my bad mistake... But then again I don't really 100% into the Christian belief...

My dilema is I am constantly worried about my daughter. I don't want anything bad to ever happen (who would??) to her but I also want to ensure that *If* something did happen, she would be at peace.

Maybe some Christians could help me out - would your God really punish a child into hell for eternity eventhough they know no better (at age 3 I doubt she can comprehand such things). Thanks!

So I am coming to terms that the Catholic Chruch is the true church in the sense that it has the correct interpretion of Christianity. I understand using Church Tradition with the bible and the holy spirt and that it is the original group that Jesus created.

However what about other Christians, many truely love jesus and seek to follow and adore him. I have seen God work in people lives and seen the holy spirit move in shuch groups.

What is the catholic viewpoint, I know that catholics have been open to building relationships outside of the church.

I would like to hear from catholics about this, I dont want to hear from people who just st say that catholics are wrong.

Read www.catholic.com and study it and you too will be walking out of the evangelical church based on facts,

...a heaven. To those of you who say that you DO NOT KNOW BUT ONLY HAVE FAITH: does your position that you do not know for sure mean that you consider it a possibility that death is the absoute end of our existence?

PLEASE!! I know you all have faith, and I know that some of you say that you KNOW you are going to heaven. This is not the question. This question is ONLY FOR CHRISTIANS WHO SAY THEY DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE THAT THERE IS A HEAVEN. Thank you! Serious anwers only and let's all be respectful please.

As salaam alaikum. I just came across what you could call a debate, ( I call it alot of hate), here between muslim brothers and sisters.

I could not beleive some of the things I was reading, and to think that this was muslim against muslim. I admit, I have said some things which some may consider rude or downright mean, to non muslims in retaliation for their hateful spite of Islam, and only in defending my faith, but never to another muslim, calling other muslims kufrs and such... That is for Allah (swt) to judge.

How does all of this make you feel?

Does this presentation make sense in our culture? It is kind of an allegory.

The questions has been asked...is their only one way. Well here is my thought:
Once upon a time there was a king who lived in a fortified city. He wanted to have fellowship with the people outside the walls so he made a door. He told the people, "Anyone is welcome to come in to my kingdom, the door is open." Some believed him and did, however, many refused to come through his door & were angry at him for being so close-minded. Others refused to acknowledge the king or his door. They said, "How do you know the king exists? Have you ever seen him? And of this door...how do you know it exists?" Yet the king keeps the door open so that people can come in and have fellowship.

Jesus is the door. And all who enter through Him will certainly never be cast out.

Unless you were born a Jew or became a Jew by choice, you were never required to sacrifice anything at all to atone for your sins. You weren't even required to observe the Sabbath. The only laws you were bound by were the seven Universal Laws, and even those were applied liberally. As long as you lived a good, peaceful life you were assured a place in the world to come. It didn't matter which god you worshipped, it didn't matter if were gay or lesbian, it didn't matter if you never knew a word of the Torah, as long as you lived a good life you were assured a place in the world to come.

So exactly what did Jesus accomplish for Gentiles when he died on the cross? Please try to understand, salvation was NEVER an issue, nor was belief in a specific god.

I am amazed at the amount of people who think that we only worship in church. I have often dropped to my knees right here in my own house.
I don't need church to do this. Do people really think that Christians only pray in church?

How come you will give money to the church who, dont need it but when you go door knocking to preach, you wont offer it? How come the church talks about God but, not about giving back to the poorer community? Are you all narrow minded?

I've read the bible because of my own interests but don't any catholics out there agree that Catholic Education ignores the bible too much in the sense that most of what is given to children (who should not be taught religion in my opinion) is basically Catholic Tracts, Workbooks, mechanical monotone masses, and rantings from teachers, but basically no bible study.

BTW I was raised catholic and atteneded Catholic School for 5 years.

I hear a lot of things about God's "mercy." My sister used to sign her letters "By His Mercies." Can you help me understand?

By "mercy" do people mean "not burning us forever when we die" is merciful? To me that seems to be a great many things: sane, reasonable, fair, but not "merciful." Can you illuminate God's mercy for me?

... to the devil?

Maybe all the trials we go through is just part of life, just reaping what we sow?

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." -- Galatians 6:7 KJV

How do you know its not the devil but just the consequences of our own inquity?

I attend an LDS church occasionally and would like to become a member and be baptised. I was wondering if my job poses a problem. I work for a collection agency and I have to lie constantly throughout the day. I like about who I am and other things frequently on the phone. Nothing dishonest as far as business practices, I just use a fictitious name on the phone etc..

at hotel complaining about a Bible in their hotel room?

I have heard people complain, but this guy just went nuts, said he did not believe in religion or Bible and that he was very offended that it was in his room.

He threw it and hit the clerk right in the forehead. Next thing you know, there are 3 cop cars on the scene...

Have you ever seen anything like this? Would you find it entertaining?
